Sean Strickland was absolutely ROBBED...

Mod-sponsored Poll: Cannonier vs. Strickland...robbery?

I do agree that strickland should have won a convincing 3-2 but this is the type of fight people even judges love punish the safer fighter for making it boring and reward the highest imaginary scoring criteria of trying so I wasn't surprised.

Same thing happened to rose vs carla, wonderboy vs till, Gordon vs paddy, and many more I'm not remembering.

And at the end of the day strickland is a pos nobody likes so no one will cry for him.

It was a fairly close fight but that doesn’t mean it should be a toss up.

only one guy was landing clear clean shots that score.

You shouldn’t score to the guy who is throwing harder and missing with almost everything. And occasionally lands something decent.

getting repeatedly jabbed in the face clean is no picnic. And they all hurt.

Cannonier is way too cautious. This was a huge fight for him and had no sense of urgency. Just like in his last fight he was content to just drop rounds and take no risk against adasanya.

strickland you can say the same but hes consistently landing clean east to see punches that you would assume the judges see. he should have picked the pace up more as well.

Pretty disappointing performance for both guys with so much on the line.

Not a robbery. It was a close fight

The round scoring was even closer on mmadecisions

Every round was 41-47% at the worst to 51-56% at the best. Practically a coin flip in MMA.

Close fight (I had Strickland up 48-47) but Strickland can't complain since he didn't mix in any takedowns or kicks. If he did he would have won. He might have beat Periera if he did the same.

Strickland's coaches must have been so frustrated. He simply chose to ignore their corner advice. No front kicks, no left head kicks.

Jared landing all those thudding leg kicks was not a good look. Nor the bloody nose in the 5th.

Strickland needs to amp up the volume from early in the fight. He looks like he's just sparring.

Close fight. I thought Cannonier edged it. Wouldn't be mad either way. Strickland talks a big game but he's actually a pillow puncher. Pretty funny tbh.

Is he a safe fighter? Sure. Does he lack power output? Sure. Does he bore a lot of people? Sure.

Shouldn't equate to losing a fight you win.

Jared was punching arms and air all fight. Sean lit him up with that jab, was beautifully evasive, and had Jared visibly frustrated, actually asking Sean to stop moving.

Sean landed more. Landed cleaner. Controlled the pace. Frustrated Jared. I mean come the hell on.

Sean won the damn fight.

Fuck off. Regardless of who you think won, you're an idiot if you call this decision a robbery.

Fight was pretty even.. Should have been a draw really but there was no 10-8 so can't really make it a draw sadly. Nobody "won" the fight.
