After seeing the video Sean released yesterday I honestly think he’s either really really smart and staged this whole thing to get eyes on his upcoming fight, or very lucky with zero self awareness since most people did a 180 and are now harboring sudden disdain for the guy. It’s funny, I’m actually am a fan of his style, he brings the violence, but I can’t say that I want him to win... IMO his character would benefit from a huge serving of humble pie in the form of a humiliating ass beating.

Sean screaming at the guy he fought a few months ago ( don’t remember his name, but he was entirely overmatched) really pissed me off. At the end of the third he yells “I’m going to give you a chance to win, okay?!” Rubbed me the wrong way.


He’s a garbage bully, regardless of his skill. One of the few times I’ll be glad to see someone get brutally ktfo.

Come on dude. "Sean Strickland' isn't the most unique name out there. Add to it he's a shaved head white guy, probably with a few tattoos. That's the recipe for character #1 on any boxing/fighting video game I've ever seen (minus maybe a black vest and goatee).

Strickland trains at a lot of gyms and I never heard anyone say anything negative about him that knew him personally. Seems like most shit talking is done by people online from what I've noticed. Anyone watching what happened knows who was in the wrong in that situation. Fights happen in sparring sessions all the time when people cross the line. That doesn't make him a gym bully.

to be honest I’ve only seen him fight and know nothing about him. But that’s not going to stop me from forming a very strong opinion on something I don’t know about.
so i would say he’s just a really sick individual and preys on the weak and really takes advantage of a lot of people to try to hurt them more often than not mentally rather than physically. Although he is extremely physically abusive to his family. Or that’s what I get out of that training video.

Often times he becomes agitated which leads him to be short and kind of crass to his own mother.

Bisping seems to have a chip on his shoulder with regards to Sean, even while commentating his last fight he said Sean was a guy that can’t be told anything. Maybe they’ve had testy sparring matches or something. But I’m taking Bisping’s opinion with a grain of salt because there seems to be a bit of a personal issue there, maybe they’re too much alike
