Sean Strickland is the Same as Michael Bisping 10 Years Ago?

7-year age gap between Bisping and Cung, oh ye of a barely functioning brain. See my prior post to further demonstrate your asinine ways.
Cung just came off the Franklin win. Haha but Franklin is better than Bisping lol and he was older than Franklin too. Guess it shouldn't count.

Here, ye Here, ye all wins by fighters older than their opponents will be overturned at once!!

I agree, saem height, same genetics sub par power with great stamina. Strikers with very good grappling that they mostly don't use. Tough as nails. Basically the same guy.

Just that Sean won't become champ.

Just Bisping fights a little more aggressive Sean just defends and point fights sort of.
Even bisping becoming champion is pure happenstance

There are similarities but Mike was way more aggressive and had killer instinct.

Consistent top 5-10 middleweight with no punching power, always in shape, beats anyone outside the top 7, makes more of a career off of talking trash than actual in cage performances. Will he go on to win a UFC title late in his career? Bisping had the exact same UFC record (13-5) 10 years ago as Strickland does now.
I’ve felt that way for a while. Strickland even looks like old school Bisping. Both are cardio machines with a great jab and decent defense. Bisping had better footwork kicks, speed, and wasn't afraid of grappling with better strikers though.

Seems to occupy about the same ground. Interesting comparison

This should be settled on the Cobbles. imo
Sadly Sean would likely do a number on old man DJ Mikey B these days. Purely on youthfulness alone.
There is a 12 year age difference. Never say never though. Mike seems to stay in shape and train.

Skillwise and lack of power-wise they are similar but bisping has the bigger wins and I think would outstrike Strickland if they were both at their best and fought

Bisping had decent kicks when he wanted to as well sir.

I thought this was going to be a thread about how Strickland looks like Bisping during his buzzcut phase.

i

Disappointed.

Not a bad take, they do bear some resemblence.

He should have rematched Pereira when he was champ. The stars would have to align. I think Bisping was ranked #8 for Rockhold 2 but everyone else was injured.

Pereira may be levels above (also levels above Rockhold in the striking department) but he's hittable. One lucky punch from Sean and we have a new Bisping.
I don't think everyone was injuried. Probably only Bisping was willong to take this fight on such a short notice

Bisping was able to turn his career around and become champ against all odds before he left. Had he had the same checkered record he wouldn't be talk about like a great. Hats off to him because he turned his career around in a legendary fashion.

Not really. Bisping must have headlined close to ten fights in his career. Bisping probably has close to 30 fights in the UFC. Their styles are not the same. They both weaponize their cardio in a different way. Bisping would have gone for the kill when he had the chance. Strickland is a technician that outpoints the competitor. Bisping was also a vicious competitor. He would also foul people when he had the chance.
