I think if it's a fighter who actually lives outside of America and is fighting there and representing their country, I don't have a problem with it.

Well in the past people were happy to come to America and wave the flag of their new adopted homeland that can offer them better opportunities. Now people come here and fly their birth flag while telling you how great their home country is. If your home country is so good go back to it.

As for the fighters flying their home flag in the cage, I do not think that should be an issue but it is funny to see some of these American born fighters who for years flew the American flag suddenly start flying the flag of their ancestors homeland.

I think the flag flying might be less to do with geographical representation and more the cultural and remembrance of the people in that country.

Meaning some of the immigrants (legal) come here and have to leave their family and friends. I think it's personally acceptable to rep your home country in support of the citizens and not necessarily the government.

Now if you come here and enjoy the freedoms and opportunity that your home country didn't provide and then shit on this country while repping your home flag in support of your corrupt 3rd world country, that's different.
