Ricky Simon vs Merab Dvalishvili had one of the strangest endings of any UFC fight. Late in the third round Ricky caught Merab in a guillotine choke but Merab pumped his legs furiously to indicate he was still conscious.

Merab appeared to survive to the bell but the ref thought that Merab briefly went out after the bell and awarded a technical submission victory to Simon.

If not for the technical submission, Merab would have won by split decision 29-28, 29-27, 28-29.

Simon is a tough wrestler with good cardio but he'll probably get tooled in the standup if he can't take O'Malley down.
