Scored 30-26 for Khamzat

The first round was definitely a 10-8. He dominated position the entire time and Kamaru landed like 0 significant strikes. What people historically scored 10-8 is actually 10-7. 10-8 by the rules just means a round that wasn't close. 10-9 is a close round according to the rules. Everyone keeps forgetting.

1st rnd was 10-8 IMO.
2nd rnd I gave to Usman
3rd was uneventful and could have gone ether way.

Khamzat deserved the win but rnds 2 and 3 were lacklustre

I think I might have been the only guy to score it 30-28 Khamzat.

I had it 50-43 Khamzat, total domination thru 2, then he slowed a little in the 3/5

I assumed it was a 10-8 round but since no damage was done, it was easy to accept 10-9. The other 2 rounds were close.....personally I could not score that fight but in totality I think Kaz won.

I don't know why so many people seem to think you can't get a 10-8 round without damage, that's not at all what the judging criteria says.

Kind of funny how everyone giving Khamzat a 10-8 round think Sterling lost the rematch to Yan because "control time" doesn't win fights.

First round easily could've been a 10-8 round, yeah.

The more 10-8s we see in this sport the worse it will be

When damage is the first criteria? He was never even close to finishing. I dunno, man. We don't need 10-8s handed out liberally

I scored it like this

round 1 = 10-8 khamzat
Round 2 = 10-9 khamzat
Round 3 = 10-9 khamzat

however all 3 rounds had something debatable

round 1 was either 10-8 or 10-9 depending on how you judge the DAMAGE

round 2 Usman may have won by mending a few significant punches, but he ended the round on bottom

round 3 Usman had even better shots landed standing but was taken down for even longer period of time to end the round

personally I think khamzat truly did dictate every round, even while slowing down

Go read the judging criteria, it was very clearly a 10-8 round and this is coming from someone that had Usman winning rounds 2 and 3 so it's not like I favor Khamzat or score takedowns that lead to nothing super highly. If you do nothing but defend for a round while your opponent has dominant positions and outlands you like 5-1 or more that's a 10-8 round.

don't you think that the first round is 10-8 ?
No, potential to be finished is not the same as almost being finished. I don't think Jan/Alex round 1 was a 10-8 either. Usman took no damage and wasn't save by the bell submission wise. Fight was actually super close and I'm happy with Khamzat winning but it wasn't a blowout

Alex had a submission attempt though against Jan in round 1 and wasn't in as bad of positions and didn't take as many strikes either, basically it was a much closer round.

Why did you score rounds 2 and 3 for Khamzat? He got outstruck and Usman did more damage, plus Khamzat did almost nothing with the takedowns, round 2 he had zero ground strikes, round 3 he had 1.
