Crime School Shooting In Wisconsin

^
Wants to ban guns but opposes metal detectors in more schools
Should be normal by now. You can’t go into a court without walking through one.

Referencing self inflicted accidental....non- suicidal. More so talking about the "hold my beer" shootings. Play stupid games win stupid prizes. People kill themselves with guns unintentionally quit a bit I would imagine.
Accidental self shooting deaths happen all the time.

Hell, Trump just appointed some chick to a position & she accidentally shot & killed her father when she was just a girl. Dropped or knocked a gun to the floor and it discharged when it struck the ground blowing her Dad's head off or something.
yeah there's about 500-600 of those a year. i just wasn't sure what you meant by self inflicted lol

One thing that the topic of guns sure does is highlight exactly how huge the rift is between people of different ideologies.

"You don't care about kids dying. You just care about keeping your guns."
"You don't care about these kids dying. You just want to take my guns away to have a false sense of security."

Stop and think about these two views that continue to be put forth. The second sentence in each of those statements doesn't matter. Nothing said after the first sentences COULD matter. Each side is literally accusing the others of being indifferent to innocent children being murdered. At that point, it's not a debate about policy or the 2nd Amendment. It's just people telling each other they're vile.

I'm admittedly pretty pro 2A. I don't own guns anymore, but used to. But innocent children dying absolutely fucking matters. The question isn't whether I think gun ownership matters more than kids lives. The question is whether policy changes would ACTUALLY make a difference and save kids from dying. And people should keep an open mind about it. Until the discussion is had on those terms, it's pointless having it. If each side TRULY thinks the other doesn't care about children being massacred, there's no hope of moving the conversation forward.

I read your entire post. If there is something else youd like me to adress you can bring it to my attention and say what about when i said x rather than make assumptions and jump to conclusions. My point stands, as yoy didnt dispute that either.
Well like the entire rest of the post.

My sister just called me, an absolute wreck. The student who was killed was the daughter of my sister's good friend.

I feel sick. I didn't personally know the girl, but same age as my daughter. I don't have words.
Thats horrific. Im sorry to hear that.

gotta love a "gun crime went down" graph that starts at the very peak of american gun crime as well.

Sigh. They most definitely fudge with the data like you fudge with what you think I've said and done. All this is from you is another word salad whining about stuff I haven't said and things I haven't done.

Lmao statistics are just a word salad now? I put data and statistics in front of your face yet again, and you’re just going to flail around pretending you can’t understand it? The wall of Denial you live behind must be massive.

lol... You're right, there's a massive gun homicide issue with young adults in the US.

The problem is that you fucking clowns stop right here, because the more you dig into the demographic, the more it destroys any narrative you're trying to fabricate.

It's 100% an urban young black adult issue. They're murdering each other at rates at more than 10x than any other demographic. Mostly gang related

However, its a career ender for any politician to address these issues directly.

Instead, we get progressive DA's focusing "Restorative Justice" and "Social Justice"... because it's not these groups fault that they shoot each other an alarming rate.

Meanwhile, you have States like Utah or Montana, where people have more firearms per capita than the rest of the country... and the murder rate there is less than most of the EU Countries you're proudly putting up as gold standards.

You want to keep going with this discussion? Because its not a firearm issue. It's a Big Blue City issue... Where Democrats have been in power for 40-50 years.
I’m happy to dig into this more and have the discussion.
The discussion will center around the systemic inequalities that lead directly to this—inequalities within employment, education, healthcare, the judicial system, and so on—which we have been trying to get conservatives to care about (in vain) for ages.
There are reasons that these things happen, it’s not just because people are urban or black.

“Democrat-run cities”? I wasn’t aware that gun laws were unilaterally decided by the Mayor—because they’re not. Let’s talk about how many state laws have been invalidated by right wing SCOTUS, how many they struck down, how they’ve handicapped state legislatures with their rulings, how many bills never got off the ground in state legislatures because Republicans block them…

Montana? For gun deaths 2017-2021 it ranked in the top 10 in the nation (#8).
In 2023 it was #6.
“The states with the lowest firearm fatality rates include Rhode Island (3.1 per 100,000), Massachusetts (3.7) and Hawaii (4.5), all of which require background checks and/or permits for gun purchases and firearm training. In six of the 10 states with the lowest death rates, handgun sale records are sent to law enforcement. Most of those 10 states also regulate the open carry of firearms.”

How does MT compare to European countries? In England, only 29 people in the whole country died from firearms in 2022-2023 while MT had 24 per 100,000.

You live in a myth. You want to blame liberals and scapegoat immigrants for your failed policies.

Your "graph" just proved my point. Dummy.

i like when Y axes start at 0.9 and end at 1.5 and the X axes only cover a very specific time that starts with the peak of the very issue we curated the graph for.

find me a graph on the topic that starts at 0 on the Y axis and goes back more than just the 90's.

"Per capita is racist!" <lol>
