Weidman was told by the ref that it was an illegal knee. Weidman essentially lost the fight cause the ref called it an illegal knee and stopped the fight for a 5 min break

It's not trying to pull bitch shit if you're told by the fkn ref that it was an illegal knee. Why the hell would you want to say "no that's cool I don't need a break to recover" to give your opponent an advantage for something that the ref said was illegal?

Easily the most ridiculous buffoonery I've ever seen in MMA and that's saying a lot

But if Weidman would have said he was okay to fight then they could have started it again. He got hit with a legal knee and either wanted a DQ or he couldn't keep fighting because of a legal strike.
 
The most hilarious part about that Weidman/Moose fight is that Weidman was effortlessly dominating Moose until that kneegate bullshit
 
ya it was weird, maybe if weidman took like 30 sec and said i'm good, whether they started it back yet or not they'd take as he's continuing.

But as Faust said, it took a while before they said it was legal after first saying it wasn't.....fighters can't hear rogan and dom AFAIK like we can, even that close it's gotta be loud in there

If you get hit by an illegal strike and you think it might hurt your chances of going on to win a fight then anyone in their right mind would say "No fuck that I'm not gonna risk a loss because of an illegal strike"

i wouldn't say effortlessly dominating, he was getting jabbed up and moose reversed all positions even though he was getting taken down. not like he was taking much damage on the bottom or i'd agree

Weedcan didnt do anything wrong. Ref switched his stance. It was smart to take the 5 minutes. Then when they said it was legal the doc waived it off.
 
maybe they'll reverse it to a NC then? not sure if the commission can do that after the fact if they don't even have replay ffs
