The knee didn't drop him, he sat down on the mat after Dan stepped in and seperated the fighters. He was lucid the entire time the shitshow was going on

He wasn't done by the knees that landed, but it was more of what could have been if Dan never stopped the fight to begin with.

You can still be lucid yet adversely impacted from a serious strike. The knee did faze him but it didn't KO or TKO him. But it's not like damage that doesn't end a fight doesn't just disappear. There's a concept called cumulative damage incurred during a fight
