I've been using it on and off for twenty years and I have no idea. First saw it on Sherdog. Then on a couple of spinoff sites that no longer exist.so here's a question i've been meaning to ask here, and here i am asking it:
when you say 'war (fighter name)', where did that originally come from? is 'war' an acronym for something? where was it first used?
i've been living in ignorance for too long, please relieve me of it.

It started at Auburn University. They use it tor their sports teams.
