I thought her show was very funny, but sketch comedy is always hot or miss. Trying to extract some messaging out of it is probably a bit misguided, you end up arguing morals with fictional characters.

Discouraging the Left's strange obsession with philia seems rather reasonable does it not? The problem with SJWs is that their agenda is to completely stop reasonable discussion and criticism about things such as immigration, gender issues, minority violence, degenerate behavior and so on. I understand the outrage towards legitimate racism, homophobia and misogyny because there is no place for it in a civilized society, but SJWs go too far by aggressively trying to silence any legitimate criticism that offends their naive worldview.

None of these instances were cases where anyone was trying to push acceptance of philia, they were merely joking about it.

Now that said, you can still say these jokes are inappropriate. I think Gunn's tweets were a bit too much personally and I can agree with those who want a public sphere that is held to a higher standard. But I don't think its fair to say they are pushing philia, they are just being edgy and provocative for its own sake. Its fine if you don't like that, personally not a fan of it myself and I'd like to see less of it, but I think we should give them the benefit of the doubt and not assume such sinister motives.
