In the begining everyone was excited to see him in octogan but after the first fight i didnt see anyone talking about him or looking for his next fight. Should he stayed in kickboxing ring where he was a superstar?

Has he fought again already? I’m still excited lol.

that's because the ufc are retarded

I'll let you work it out why they are retarded

Saki vs Ngannou sounds like a good fight for the fans.

I think the hype is/was there, he just got injured, otherwise he would have fought Khalil Rountree at UFC 219

People here were excited that he was gonna fight Roundtree then he got hurt.

what impact did you expect from an old standup striker that has been in tons of wars and has 0 ground game?

Lol he is just hurt, didn't get beat on the mat or or knocked out. What's his ground game got to do with it?

He punched the guy he was supposed to punch, then he got injured.
No one is expecting him to be champ.
When he fights again we'll all enjoy it, but are we supposed to have super mega-boners and throw our wallets at Dana or something?

I know he is older now, small, been in a lot of wars, probably not the best grappler, but the man has superior striking skills to every UFC fighter and can sleep anyone with one punch. He might never be UFC champion but he is exciting and brings something different to the sport.

Dang, Saki almost got KO'd by some no name bum in his last fight - wtf would happen vs Ngannou? Kickboxing and MMA stand up are not really that similar, hence guys like Verhoeven having to resort to panic wrestling in his MMA fight, while not having those giant gloves to protect your chin and having to constantly work in the clinch.

He has had 1 fight in UFC and got a first round knockout, he got injured sadly but with more fights he will get a title shot soon because its LHW and they badly need anyone. Wouldn't surprise me if he gets 2 more wins that he will get a title shot, there is no one else for Cormier to fight unless they just rehash needless rematches.
