Media Sage Northcutt has a new career and it's not male stripper

I mean with zero experience he wouldn't just start his own place?

Even Aljo Sterling works as an agent for Al Iaquintas place.
You do not need massive amounts of experience, and being a broker is a product of licensing not merit.

EDIT: I stand corrected. It depends on jurisdiction, but where I am from it is basically two years and you can be licensed. That makes it a bit less bitter. He just has to do his thing for two years and then he can be a broker and turn up a notch.

Aljo is an active fighter who is still top 5 UFC. That he was able to obtain a license while performing at that level is commendable.

My disappointment with Sage (who I hate as a fighter), is that going from a supposedly serious UFC prospect (and talented martial arts stunt kid) to a mere agent at someone else's brokerage, seemed to me a very far fall.

Even now, I feel like he should have done like Aljo and then come out the gates with his own business and brand when he stopped fighting (to be seen with Aljo).

Perhaps his astronomical overrating was so significant that it compromised my assessment of his post-career potential. Maybe he is just a regular guy who only excelled at martial arts stunts.

Usually need 10 years of agent experience before qualifying for a brokers license. At least I did…
Bless your jurisdiction for its high standards. Where I am from it is two years.

I said this in response to someone else's post. Maybe even with my low expectations of him (as a fighter), I am still being swayed by his astronomical hype. Maybe he was only good at martial arts stunts and is otherwise just a regular person.

As a regular person, good on him. As an exceptional person- he should have gotten licensed earlier, while he was till fighting but looking for a way out, and come out as a broker, with his own brand.

My expectation of a person of that stature is that they have the natural acumen and work capacity to command an small team and rise meteorically. That's more a reflection of my high expectations for individuals who are at the top of their respective fields. I mean... hell, look at Rampage, the man is a savage (in the bad way), yet he managed to somehow make a real go at podcasting, gym management, and professional athlete development. Yeah, he partnered with people of means- but it's his name and seemingly his show to run. Now, Rampage was a higher level professional fighter than Sage... but a lower level everything else, so I think it balances out!

You know.... your comment really drives home that I reacted rashly. I stand by my general comment- disappointment- but you make a good point. 10 years is a long time (for licensing in your jurisdiction), and that's how long it takes to really make progress. Things do take time. Maybe Sage runs a huge brokerage and runs a development company by the time he's Rampage aged. I hope so.

It's funny because apparently Sage is very smart.. would have never guessed that.. didn't he want to go to school for engineering or something?

Seems like a good kid I wish him nothing but the best!

Real estate agent is like what somebody's wife does to make it look like she has a job

Unless you're like a broker or just killing it, you're typically not making a lot of money as a real estate agent starting off
