Nice scrap, favor Hall here but Lamas is still dangerous. I enjoy Hall's mechanics but agree with the hopes he was getting a higher ranked opponent. Either way should be good stuff.

Nice fight. Lamas is still a tough guy and he is very well rounded. He can also put an absolute beating on you and has derailed many guys. I like Hall in this one though; I think he can win the striking battle. Lamas is also a few years past his prime at this point. The grappling will be fun if it hits the mat — Lamas has excellent sub defense and good GNP.

Ryan halls striking seems very one dimensional, no?

That was what I felt against Elkins (though Lamas is a much better striker than Elkins), before Hall just spin kicked his head off multiple times rather than taking him down.

Lamas put a beating on Elkins. If he's still the same guy he should take this handily.

not sure about that. Hall is wild and loose with his striking because he doesn’t fear take downs, so he’ll probably throw lots of head kicks like he did against Elkins.

Too bad it's not in the first date. Getting credit for beating a 37 year old sounds a lil better than a 38 year old Lamas.
Oh well, it's been over a year Hall has competed in anything, and had a kid. so that might even it up.

I know MMA fans will find anything to complain about, but I'm glad this man isn't using his electrical engineering degree instead of evolving the world of bjj with his teachings.

Hall's last fight showed much more well-roundedness for MMA.

Lamas keeps a up a pace that'll make him work, though money is on Hall. Will watch.
