News Ryan Hall Vs Ricardo Lamas - Aug 29th

Ryan's good enough at what he does to beat the peripheral guys, but I think someone like Jeremy Stephens beats his ass.
Well, Hall gets nothing out of lying and he says Stephens along with the rest of the lower top 10 turned him down so *Ryan Hall shrug*

Good, I’ve been waiting for them to re-book this since it was cancelled in March. Great fight, I think Hall gets ducked a lot but Lamas has that champ mindset.

Should be a good scrap. Its always fun to watch Hall fight.

That was what I felt against Elkins (though Lamas is a much better striker than Elkins), before Hall just spin kicked his head off multiple times rather than taking him down.

He even staggered Elkins and dropped him with hands too if I remember correctly

Awesomeeeee. I wasn't a big fan of hall when I saw him leg kick Maynard to a decision but he's become a pretty exciting fighter. Hopefully if he wins this other fighters will actually fight him because he has some name value. Him destroying Elkins standing was pretty damn impressing especially doing it with spinning shit.

Lamas might be "done" though... he has lost a bunch of fights recently, and he is clearly getting close to retirement.

Lamas has the advantage on paper - better wrestler and deadlier striker, but Hall is just weird so who knows what will happen.

I think Lamas runs through him to be honest. Hall doesn't have the wrestling to get this to the mat and his striking has no power to scare or worry Lamas, as chinny as he's become. Lamas pieces him up standing for 3 rounds or maybe even finishes him.
Ryan Hall is overrated.

The way I see it, Saul Rogers on TUF showcased the blueprint of how you easily beat Hall if you can vaguely wrestle. Being a Brit, I would hazard a guess that Lamas is a better wrestler than Rogers and a much better striker so I see no reason why he can't follow the same pattern.

Maynard was essentially a walking corpse. Elkins is game, but he's a punching and his striking is poor.
Dude that was 5 YEARS AGO!!! I'm pretty sure he has upped his game just a tad. He's a serious problem for anybody in the top 10. His striking is actually pretty solid now

Great fight, standing or on the mat. Lamas has deadly GnP, especially elbows, if the fight ends up there and hall can’t lock in a submission quick then lamas could batter him. Hopefully Ryan finds a way to get it done tho, if he submits lamas that will be a huge feather in his cap.

I believe Hall finds a way. Split decision, or unanimous 29-28, or heel hook sub.

Lmao another over the hill guy for Hall. Doubt anyone is avoiding this dude, just seems like he's picking the most over the hill fighters he can.
