It’s weird to me that so many people want to watch this fight. GSP has been out of the game for years—minus a fight with Bisping, since the Hendricks fight. He can’t be at his best at this point.

I understand they’re huge names but if Khabib is coming back I would rather watch him fight Charlie Olives or Chandler.

If he insists on fighting a 170 guy fight someone relevant today.

There are a few problems with this.

1. Tibau had a better TDD% than GSP and had a much greater physical advantage over the young skinny version of Khabib that is not 1/10th the Khabib we saw pay tribute to his father and scorch Justin Gaethje from the planet.

2. Khabib is better than GSP everywhere. His striking doesn't look as pretty but it's ridiculously effective with his sambo wrestling, and judo that is much higher level than GSP's 2000's era LNP Double leg strategy.

Shouldn't Khabib went for guys who are in their primes like Usman and the 170 lbs division if he wants GOAT status? I respect Khabib, but people wanting him to pick a fight vs a guy who has left the game for so long just doesn't make sense. If Khabib wanted glory, he should've pursued the GSP fight and went for it 2 years ago before GSP officially retired. Not the other way around of waiting for GSP to challenge him. Just my 2 cents.

Didn't GSP just beat the MW champ? We've seen no signs of decline.
