Exactly. If GSP wins it would be a miracle. Commission shouldn't allow the fight. Maybe not allowing it is a bit extreme, but it is hardly a fair matchup.

I have zero interest in seeing this happen. GSP at almost 40 being asked to cut more weight than he ever has is incredibly unfair. The deck is stacked so hard against him.

Except Usman says he will never fight Khabib because they're friends.

If Usman is out, then what's left for Khabib that could elevate his legacy under 185? He beat the toughest guys in his division, wildly regarded as the toughest division in the UFC.

Does he downgrade and go after the Colby's and Masvidal's?

So the guy who recently beat the MW champ should not be sanctioned against the LW champ?

4 years ago, plus while it was a good performance from GSP, it wasn't exactly the most dangerous fight for him to take. At the time it felt like he cherry picked that fight for maximum reward and minimum risk.

4 years ago isn't recent. I agree I being a bit hyperbolic, but it is a serious mismatch, especially if GSP if forced to cut more than he ever has.

You could be friends and be professional. It's not like there hasn't been a time where 2 friends fought and do their job as a professional UFC fighter.
 
155 lb fighter vs 185? hows that work.

Guess what? The Hendricks that fought GSP that night would beat Khabib at WW too.


Even thought Johnny lost a close decision to GSP, that night was the best version of Hendricks. Even with the loss

So again, what fighter under 185 would elevate Khabib's legacy as much as GSP? None.
