Putin's final plan:

The crazy thing about this mentality/argument, is that anyone who ever invaded USA would just shoot absolutely everybody on sight.

Only people who have been indoctrinated by US pro-gun propaganda can think that's a good thing, because your shitty handheld weapon achieves nothing in modern warfare where most of the shooting is not bullets, but shells.

Empires have been defeated with nothing but small arms time and time again, over and over.

I don't know how old you are. I'm in my mid 40's. 15 years ago when I was in my early 30's I think I'd have agreed with you. Now...I feel like most of the populace couldn't fight off a cold. At the risk of sounding like a crotchety old man: We're mostly a bunch of whiny bitches. And worse, a divided bunch of whiny bitches. So the motivation to fight for your neighbor is lessened. It sucks, but sadly I think it's true.
I'm 39 and I totally get what you saying.

And to think, There are soy boys trying to take our rights to carry. In a way, i hope this escalates just enough to make these fools realize they are not protected in their little bubble and could have their bubble poped at any moment.
This country has gotten way too soft for my taste.

It is soft, but most aren't going to change their views based on anything happening now.

I will say I was directly opposed to the right to bare arms through out most of my life. It felt unnecessary where I’m from. At most I want people to own pistols.

After the BLM riots/protests I bought myself a shotgun. It became very apparent the governments are no longer capable of protecting us.

The world has changed

You simple fuck. It’s propaganda.

It’s what Russia does.

Politicians say nice shit about politicians they hate/distrust literally all the fucking time. There are many times Trump went on and on about how he’d handle Putin just fine, how he would outsmart him and wasn’t intimidated by him at all.

You are fucking lost man. I’ve already spent more time responding to your word salad than it deserves.
Trump blamed this whole situation on the “stolen election”.

It’s not 2016 anymore. You can stop believing in the “Trump is playing 4d chess” myth because the rest of the world surely has.

I saw a video of Solider? journalist in Kiev walking around with his helmet? but the footage was shaky, with a old cell phone. I am starting to think that most videos are from 2014 and earlier from 2000s. Be careful while watching those videos on twitter.
Yeah I really would be very cautious about anything right now, especially stories that seem "just so" like magic fighter aces shooting down su-35s in a much older plane. There will be large amounts of propaganda going around that will be impossible to check on.

Not right now, but if this shit esculates to the point where we end up going to war with russia, it might. In a perfect world, those people will flee to Canada.

I'm forced to agree with you. The vast majority of folks are GARGANTUAN TALK and 0 (or close to 0) action.

It sort of reminds me of what the legendary Vitali Klitschko said.

Vitali Klitschko: "Chess is similar to Boxing fights. You need to develop a strategy, and you need to think two or three steps ahead about what your opponent is doing. You have to be smart. But what's the difference between Chess and Boxing fights? In Chess, nobody is an expert, but everybody plays. In Boxing, everybody is an expert, but nobody fights."

I barely see you post messages outside of The War Room. What do you think of Michael Chandler having an MMA fight against Tony Ferguson?

Even though Michael Chandler is awesome, I definitely hope that Tony Ferguson eliminates him.

I really don't want to see Tony Ferguson riding a 4-fight LOSING streak.

Michael Chandler had his chance to capture the UFC Lightweight World Championship. Tony Ferguson never got the title shot that he deserved.

I post in the MMA betting forum mostly.

Tony is obviously among my favorite all time fighters. But he's soooo past his prime. He got old, and he got old fast. Cutting a ton of weight twice in a month was foolish, especially at his age. That sent him on the downward spiral. MAYBE he has one epic performance left in him. Chandler is still obviously dangerous as hell. The fight with Gaethje was epic. I guess I have to favor Chandler quite a bit, sadly...

I know this is the WR so don't want to get busted out for being off topic...

Rifles >>>

30 rounds of 7.62x39 is security. At bare minimum, it represents a fighting chance against anyone, against any living thing.

You guys really need to decide whether to go with "it's a Chinese lab created demon strain" or "it's just a cold, bro."
It’s a US funded, Chinese created virus that was supposed to be a deadly bio-weapon (who really believes the US doesn’t need the best weapons around??$ that turned out to not be as bad as we hoped it would be.

Why do you think the world freaked out as hard as it did? Chinese media even pointed the finger at the US in March/April 2020 and it was rejected as state propaganda by everyone here, even those who see the US thru NIAID and other entities funded the Wuhan institute of Virology. We aren’t always the good guys here

I’m not that skilled with a rifle. I can operate a shotgun and hit just about anything from an effective range.

Plus I’m great for the first shot but then the vibrations and noise make me lose concentration for anything after. I feel much better with a shotgun. I’ve used them many times.

Ok, I have to say the Ukrainians do have 'balls'! A special salute to that group.

Not sure if this is a good idea but I think we may need a thread dedicated to keeping up to date on the military situation as it unfolds, not for political talk.

Im struggling to find other places online that have compiled information and updates on this side of the subjects.

video from task & purpose uploaded about 5 hours ago:

and another one discussing Russia’s current strategy:

If the Ukrainians can get some more weapons,

Interestingly enough...

Source
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Thursday says he would provide weapons to any citizen who wants to defend the country against Russian attacks. "We will give weapons to anyone who wants to defend the country. Be ready to support Ukraine in the squares of our cities," Zelensky tweeted.

I hope he means the good stuff (eg. explosives, missiles, etc.) and not small arms (eg. rifles). Everyone knows those are useless against a military.

I would bet most Americans would fight if a war came to our soil. It will never happen because of the oceans.

No, its never happened because its a fools errand. The U.S. is an extremely large will developed country. The number of soldiers and equipment it would take to even march into a portion of the country would be astronomical. Texas alone would be problematic.
