Well they can't because the complaint isn't even that the stories are false. All the podcasters in the story were already podcasters for more than a decade, and were making videos on the same topics for longer than "tenet media" has existed. They just paid existing podcasters to shoot 10 minute videos for them on topics they've already covered on their own chanels. RT was operating in the US for 12 years already, and the hosts on their shows were "progressives" like Abby Martin, Thom Hartmann, and whatever Jesse Ventura is.

The same thing has happened with a bunch of Chinese media companies.
