It is, of course. But the point of the guy I was answering to was that there would never be any woman in the Russian government. The government is not only the government, and there are already women ministers in Russia, and "secretaries" (that's how you call ministers in the US, right?) in the US.
BTW. I've seen there's only 400 something civilian deaths? thats insane for 2 weeks of war, in U.S. war there are a lot more. I guess it's because they are fighting a brotherly nation with the same Orthodox religion, so civilian deaths are important for the popular Russian opinion.

It was pretty obvious from the start they've been using kid gloves compared to how the west runs war.

Could you imagine cars doing drive by Molotov at tanks In Iraq? Hell no. They'd be destroyed before getting close. Same with firing from buildings. Thatd be a airstrike.

Seems the biggest difference is America ( and the West. Australia is as complicit ) value's it's troops lives more than civilians of whomever they've invaded. At the start of this invasion seems the Russians were far more willing to risk its troops lives when dealing with the civilians.

Fucking crazy. I've always been pro west... but pfffft. It's a bit of a joke.

I wouldn't be surprised that, if an Ukranian bombed some place in Russia, the West would clap to it as some nice act of resistence. Some truck destroying the gates of a Russian Embassy in Ireland was already cheered at. And now - maybe but that's too much to ask - we start to see why certain (hideous) movement were born in the Middle East after Western invasions.

BTW: I don't mean to promote any such acts. I think it'd be better if there was no war and no one invaded no one.

For sure the Russian military is willing to spend lives far more so than the western powers.

I would argue that they’re more willing to target civilians as well. A lot of the context that gets left out about talk about how many Iraqis or viet-namese died during American occupation is overwhelmingly this was not US military targeting civilians. The US military may target civilians in some instances, but it’s going to be something like Fallujah where the population is given fair warning to leave and then those who don’t are to be treated as insurgents. Russia in contrast here is using their military to trap civilians during sieges. It’s not like they’re trying to kill them, but they’re very willing to herd them to be used as bargaining chips.

I personally disagree with your 2nd point as the civilian casualties don't lead me to believe Russia is more likely to target civilian... honestly I go the other way. But it is food for thought

You can find picture of Dmitry Rogozin giving a Nazi salute, he is General Director of Roscosmos. And it’s known that he is kind of a right-wing. Also in rebel republics there is Pavel Gubarev but I guess he would be considered more like an ethnonationalist in the West. I mean, there is people with such background in Russian government/politics.
