Details: Russian news agencies reported that Babayeva died as a result of an accident at one of the training ranges in Crimea, where she practised sports shooting.

Propagandist Dmitry Kiselyov, the general director of Russia Today, said that Babayeva "strongly supported Russia" and rushed to support the Russian occupiers.

In 2004-2006, Babayeva headed the representative office of RIA Novosti in the UK; in 2008-2012, she held the position of Editor-In-Chief of the department of RIA Novosti in the USA. In 2012-2013, she worked as the deputy head of the joint editorial office of Moscow News [Kremlin-aligned news outlet].

In 2013-2016, Babayeva was the editor-in-chief of the Internet outlet Gazeta.Ru. In December 2016, she became an adviser to Russia Today news agency; in August 2019, she was appointed head of the regional division of Russia Today in Simferopol, the capital of occupied Crimea.

It is quite logical to be anti-Russian after everything Russia has done over the years. To any logical person ties to EU are far more preferable to those of Russia. No he was legally removed. The Maidan revolution was encouraged by the west, as why wouldn’t we welcome a country trying to westernize but it was not a western operation.

The Russians armed some pro Russian goons and sent them in to take the capitals of those “separatist” regions where they then held elections to become Russian satellites essentially. Those elections were a complete farce, with them claiming that the regions weee 95% in favor of separating. An absolutely ridiculous number. But this is the story that the pro Russian goofballs have been trying to spin as justification for the invasion. And that's what is going to happen even if it's not intended. Putin will do whatever it takes not to lose (even though he will at some point) He is going to drag his country and people through the hot coals just to prove what an idiot he is.
