Some Russian and Ukrainian channels are claiming Izium has been liberated. Let's see if the rumors are accurate.

Anyone know who these cans are? Are they important?

left wing labour, former leader and prominent leftwingers. they have a stop the war attitude to every conflict, were opposed to afghanistan and iraq as well. well meaning but in this case totally wrong.

Corbyn describes himself as a socialist. (Irish MP)
His activism has included roles in Anti-Fascist Action, the Anti-Apartheid Movement, the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament, and advocating for a united Ireland and Palestinian statehood

Claudia Naomi Webbe
She was suspended from the party whip in September 2020 after being charged with harassment of a woman who was having an affair with Webbe's partner.[2] She was then expelled from the Labour Party on 3 November 2021 after being convicted in October 2021. Webbe lost her appeal on 26 May 2022.[3]

As of January 2020, she is a member of the Socialist Campaign Group of Labour MPs.[

Also in 2021, Webbe stated on Twitter that "Earth is overpopulated; there are too many rich people. To solve the climate crisis; the rich must be abolished", a remark that drew criticism in view of her £81,000-per-year MP's salary

Yeah....
I dont see their status as MPs having any impact on anything.
Both seems like cans to me.
corbyns not irish, he is the former british labour party leader.

Rus side just confirmed they are retreating from Izium. Their massive grouping in Izium has been ordered to retreat in a tactical decision, to avoid total encirclement and defeat.

Liberating Izium is Ukraine's biggest win in this war, since Snake Island. And it happened much faster than I expected, a short blitzkrieg like action lol

There are also reports that ukros are on east side of the river going into Krasny Liman direction.

@PrinceOfPain thoughts?

Now there are reports that the RF Armed Forces also left their positions in Liman. Huge if true. Will wait for confirmation.

Yeah, Svyatohirsk and soon Lyman.

They are also progressing toward Velykyi Burluk to the North and making advances in Kherson front.

Russia is losing a conventional war with Ukraine.

Kadirov's man Alaudin or whatever the fuck his surname is, the general of Akhmat forces said two days ago this might be a strategy by the russians to let the ukrainians feel they are winning and stretch them in long distances within the front, only to give them then the final blow and completely destroy them. Rus are moving reserves in, but if they are not able to stabilize the front in the next 24 to 48 hours and start reversing gains with a counter-offensive of their own, THEY ARE FOOKED.

Sometimes I check tankies, loons, mentally challenged and other propagandists who do not speak russian for entertainment as they are the ones most disconnected from reality. Example:

"Hammering operations started, UAF encircled between Kupiansk and Izium" posted no more than 6 hours ago.

So the fleeing Ruskies have left most of their ammo and equipment behind and are hardly combat ready. Ukrainians are already closing their escape route from south-east. This could be either massacre or mass surrender.

Yes, but rus side still claims there is a corridor for their Izium grouping to be evacuated. Although they too admit, all routes are under ukrainian shelling. What is interesting to me, is the decision to retreat. Ukrainians for example held for so many weeks Severodonetsk under similar circumstances. Rus is quick to leave. And we are talking about close to 10k soldiers here. I'm sure the decision is a smart one from a military point of view, save as many men as you can and reform the defense line. But running away without putting up a fight will be a terrible media/morale loss.

I think that corridor is closing fast because Lyman has fallen.

Russian troops this morning also retreating from villages west of Kherson. Rus reporters, saying their units are withdrawing under slight pressure from the enemy.

No

Rus people will "never rise up" unless really backed in corner, never underestimate how much russians can suffer like saying goes

Only threat is from inner circle but considering intelligence boss was scared shitless of him i find it unlikely they will go against him

This is why I said FSB / Russia United. I don't think the people will rise up, and I don't think the threat is necessarily from the inner circle, rather than the political system as a whole. It happened before with the attempted coup against Gorbachev in 1991. It may not be anything dramatic like a coup or assassination. He may just be "fired" and sent to retirement/exile in some shithole backwater.

Obviously I'm just speculating. Russian leaders eventual fates range from being mummified and kept as sacred relics, to being marched into a basement and shot alongside their family. It is true that making the country look militarily weak is a sure fire way to slide from being venerated to being hated.
