International Russia/Ukraine Megathread V8

Yeah, I'll have to admit that I thought Russia was just going to steamroll Ukraine. But man, they just proved how bad their tactics, technology, and warfighting capabilities were. If they didn't have nukes, this would be starkly different and not in Russia's favor.
This! It is not that Russia and the world underestimated Ukraine. They severely overestimated Russia. They may have some advanced equipment, but it is few and far between. The average Russian solder is under-trained, under-equipped and severely lacks motivation. And the officers arent much better. It is riddled with corruption at every level. The Russian army is and has been rotten from top to bottom.

The Scottish guy. You know Putin a piece of crap when English, Irish and Scottish join forces to defeat the great evil. That's better then the UN could have done. Putin amazing he got Sweden and Finland to join NATO and he brought peace to the UK. lol

Initially they most likely assumed that well paid traitors and previously sent in diversants masked as civilians + spies, saboteurs and provocators will be able to create enough chaos.....
Appeared that Ukr knew who is traitor and managed to lock in prisons approx 800 suspects quickly...
Plus they did the best thing when issued firearms to civilians....quickly...

Stuff was core whay Dexter cryed here about this: they put in place diversants masked as casual civilians....
For Russia's supoorters it looks cool to send in diversants masked as casual civilians and to use criminals and local traiors dressed as casuals...
While if Ukr issued weapons to civilians...then...wow...it is wrong....
Instead good stuff to pay traitors and informants & saboteurs huge money....etc..

LOL.

Next surprise.
We all knew that west wasn't willing to sell Ukr weapons and if to talk more openly without bullshit: west " sold " Ukraine to Russia...
Only an idiot can't see this reality.
_
When apoeared that even 30-50 y.o crap works well vs Russia and....
Russia failed just cos too early announced their long term goals...and it wasn't about Ukraine alone...To put West on knees is long term target...nothing else....nothing else...
And to create superempire. Ofc smart western experts had to read up what stuff they are telling to their electorate in Russia...
Like these both versions: for west one, for russia another....
BTW genocide deUkrainization statement posted in RIA rus version even Putin had ordered to remove....Cos too open genocide promise and promise to achieve this even if it will require 50 years..

Cat too might not worry.
To call stuff going on in Ukr as war .....this alone is offense ...You might be placed in prison if you will comment or post something containing " war in Ukraine "...
You should use phrase " Special operation".
-----
Humanitarian aid from Russia is to shell more civilian objects , even abadoned and empty + old than military objects?
Warehouses with wheat.
Empty oil refinery ( cos lack of crude oil to process ) is cool humanitarian aid.

Plus shelling empty churches and museums too is cool humanitarian aid...
This btw is confirmed by ppl from xx countries.
U.N is Russia's and China's puppet org cos both does have veto rights..useless waste of time and money not org...

A DDOS attack on a website is hardly what I'd call a major cyber attack. Kids on the internet have been doing that shit for years
It depends from financing...$...
One thing is to ping some website from your own computer...
Another thing is that if you have a lot of $, you might get as servants botnets using even comps and devices where owners operating these doesn't knows this.
Their comp, tablet or phone just had been infected....
And when you will get for example 7 500 000 different devices and more than 5 000 000 diffeeent IPs from where requests will come in short timeframe......

Damn.

Ofc even teens might to taste more advanced stuff than simple requests attack...

Never leave a man behind unless you're a Russia Soldier then it is all for themselves.

uh, you're just not connecting the dots bro. Case in point:

I'm not sure where this leads other then Putin? So I don't really knows where this leads and especially with Jared DC house?

The European Court of Human Rights has found the Kremlin responsible for the 2006 assassination by radiation poisoning of Alexander Litvinenko, a former Russian intelligence official who defected to the West.

Meanwhile, British police said Tuesday that they have identified a third suspect in a Russian-linked nerve agent attack on a former Russian double agent in southern England.

Litvinenko died in London weeks after drinking tea that was later found to have been laced with the deadly radioactive compound polonium-210.

In its ruling, the ECHR said it "cannot but conclude" that two Russian intelligence agents, Andrei Lugovoi and Dmitry Kovtun, had killed Litvinenko "acting as agents of the respondent State [Russia]."

However, the court rejected a claim for punitive damages by Litvinenko's widow, Marina, who brought the case.

The ECHR, also known as the Strasbourg court, is affiliated with the Council of Europe, which is distinct from the European Union.

The Kremlin has denied any involvement in Litvinenko's death, while Lugovoi and Kovtun have suggested that the defector may have poisoned himself. However, critics of Russian President Vladimir Putin, himself a former KGB officer, say Litvinenko's death is part of a deliberate policy to "liquidate" defectors."

Is this still going according to plan for Russia?
Kiev could fall at any moment now, you just don't see the 4D chess moves going on.
Or Russia never tried to win.
They just want territories they already had.
Russia is just using up it's old stuff
The real Russian army hasn't joined in yet

Something along those lines i guess

What the... you remove my post but leave that nutters conspiracy involving Trump starting ww3 and Jared and saudis?

Wow
Probably need to retain it in case of future legal issues...

Keep your eye out for news on deranged Trumpers in Florida.

He has been going off like that for a week now. He is not taking “the raid” very well.
Lol I honestly don’t even know what he’s trying to say. I’m pretty sure he was one of the posters that claimed that the attack on Kyiv didn’t fail because it was merely a diversion. I’m also pretty sure Slye is the one that started the thread about how the west is so dumb because sanctions made the Ruble stronger

"He was abducted and tortured by Russian soldiers. Then they started using his Instagram to push pro-Kremlin propaganda"

Before the war broke out, Igor Kurayan, a 55-year-old from the southern Ukrainian port city of Kherson, shared frequent gardening updates on social media. His feeds were full of palms, pomegranate trees, marigolds, bamboo and avocados, grown at his home and small business near the Black Sea. He called it his "fairytale garden."
Kurayan was abducted. He was watering plants in his shoe store when he said Russian soldiers dragged him outside and threw him into a van.
Soon after Kurayan's kidnapping, his Facebook and Instagram pages, and a new TikTok account registered under his name, began posting messages entirely out of character for the man known to family and friends as a proud Ukrainian, a passionate activist and avid gardener.

Why did you selectively remove some sentences??

His feeds were full of palms, pomegranate trees, marigolds, bamboo and avocados, grown at his home and small business near the Black Sea. He called it his "fairytale garden."

On February 25, a day after Russia invaded Ukraine, Kurayan posted a selfie on Instagram with a rifle, announcing he had volunteered to fight in the Territorial Defense Forces, reserve units of Ukraine's military. Soon after, Kherson fell to Russian troops and in early April, after weeks living under and protesting against their occupation, Kurayan was abducted. He was watering plants in his shoe store when he said Russian soldiers dragged him outside and threw him into a van.

I only posted part so people know what its about and can go read the full article.
I am against too long posts, and I actually want people to read the full article.

The position I'm gradually coming to on this is 1) Putin is in a much weaker position than he was in 2014, and is trying to regain that Crimea boost in popularity. The pension reforms in 2018 were very unpopular and this weakness has persisted, 2) Russia actually is scared of Nato attacking (we think this is laughable but I think they really are scared) and is not committing more troops because they have many areas they are worried about defending, and 3) Putin is already on thin ice and doesn't want to break the #1 rule of Russian politics (don't scare the babushkas) by mobilizing reservists AND 4) Russia is an aging country that can ill-afford heavy losses (don't laugh, their birthrate is the same as ours).
