There were attacks on Russian owned shops in Germany a couple months ago when the war broke out. Surely Putin won't let the Germans get away with this.

In that case he would do more than german politicians. Thankfully less is being reported about the war, thus Not motivating Idiots to Target innocent people.

Ohh, lesser informed about war.
They told them that Germany now does have ~ 800000 refugees and soon will tell how much this will cost from budget.
I mean for Germany cos refugees in Germany....

Likely a lot less when they merged East Germany with West Germany that was like I think 150 billion?

Serious question. What is the correct proportional response to a Russian tactical nuclear strike in Ukraine?

Probably wouldnt cause a nuclear retaliation IMO, but would result in more international support for Ukraine and could prompt NATO to send boots on the ground in Ukraine to engage Russian forces directly.

Unlikely that Russia would do it IMO. Not worth the potential consequences and they can pretty much achieve similar destructive results with conventional weapons.

- More sanctions, to a point where trade almost stops entirely
- Seizure of Russian assets in EU/US
- NATO deploys nuclear weapons in Baltic and eastern Europe
- Worldwide condemnation, including current neutral countries

At that point the concept of a world order is basically dissolved. So I guess the answer would be "whatever you can respond with".

So Lysychanskhas fallen and all Luhansk is in Russian hands now.

Long range weapons are primarily what is being requested.. so how does everyone feel about another forever war with Ukraine and Russia having established military lines and shelling the shit out of civilians again?

I’m sure it was completely organic Russophobia and not a hoax

Hey Vlad….watcha doing there?

If it's just one I'd think making them a complete international pariah. If several then that would be a problem. At some point NATO and maybe others would need to get involved militarily. The chances that leads to nuclear holocaust might be pretty high though. Tough question.

I don’t know what the response is but the likelihood is so low for practical reasons, which includes radioactive waste blowing into their country and the fact that a tactical nuclear weapon is not much better than what they are already using.

I think at some point the western Europeans will crack and try to apply what pressure they can to force some sort of treaty. Whether or not the US goes along with this is anyone's guess. But if the US and the Europeans are united on pressing for a negotiated settlement, Ukraine will have no choice but to comply.

Right? I … don’t exactly know what a good response should/would be.

NATO wouldn't send troops to a nuclear battlefield. I think the guy below summed it pretty well.

- Seizure of Russian assets in EU/US

If Russia loses Chinese and Indian support they're in serious trouble. Right now these two countries represent over 35% of the world population and they are engaging in a lot of trade with Russia and basically keeping it afloat by buying their oil. A nuclear strike could change it, so I think it's unlikely they would risk it.

Well apparently Russia after months have developed an effective deterrent and counter the drones and specifically the Turkish drone. It's to the point were Ukraine has stopped using them for the most part till an effective counter measure is designed. DJI drones have been successful at tracking Russian movements and that has been derailed some believe by China giving Russia key data on drone positions. Apparently it's a combination of signal jamming, tracking and shooting them down.
