lol @ the hero of the federation
People in these threads have long had this romantic notion of the effectiveness of 'merc' groups.
Something about them being elite, hand-picked fighters, when obviously any elite soldier is going to be in the Russian Army proper. If they're in Wagner, there's a fucking reason.
Since government introduced conscription, some people are becoming suspicious and there's an increased belief that shit might be going down and Ukraine isn't as strong as advertised or something else must have gone wrong behind the scenes if we have to resort to this step. Tinfoil hats all over the place.
It doesn't help that our minister of defense comes out and says that it's time to face reality, and in worst case scenario we have 2 years to prepare for the eventual Russian visit.
Other than this recent development we continue our russian hating ways of the past. Interesting times ahead for all the shittalking keyboard warriors, myself included.
is there still a blackout on Kherson AO? not much info coming out of that area and Ukraine making a big push.
The repeated claims that Russia was on the verge of running out of supplies only to be forgotten then repeated amused me
And this is a major reason for 'The Ghost of Kyiv' and on the opposing end, Russia destroying and/or buying HIMARS systems in back-alley deals. Both sides use media to boost troop morale and there is nothing wrong with it. The psychological effect of new weapons reaching out and touching Russian troops necessitates ridiculous tales. I am sure many similar phone calls took place in the last weeks.
When the Russian command figures out this latest problem of centralization and pushes their posts back, Ukraine will receive ammo with a longer range.

Wagner pays better and is or was initially for post spec ops guys who wanted to go overseas. There are units in Russian armed forces even a branch that is dedicated to sabotage and hard ground force sneak attacks. However, I imagine you cant always stay in that and they have age cut offs etc. When that happens reitrees in say late 30s or early 40s might find overseas work in africa fun, easy and profitable.
ISW is always a month behind I swear. It took them months to even admit this above control
The purchased HIMARS story has more weight behind it though
The EU and Pentagon officials have even noted the hard ability to track weaponry and the black market effects. It isnt unrealistic. Plus there is photos
.
I've heard it all before.
Wagner suck, and take massive hits every time they're involved in a conflict.
That's the real reason they're a merc org - because it doesn't matter who they are when they're in the meat grinder - and they are all replaceable.
IMHO Wagner doesn't suck and they at least earlier had used former pros and guys who had served military AND...had financial problems....
> looks that they are using Wagner where is higher risk that unit might be devastated...
The same IMHO also why rus use guys from these " republics " in Luhansk and Dumbass + guys from poor remote russia's areas...
Babushkas in Moscow and St Pete will not cry!
Next bodies will be hired and sent as replacement.
Then cycle might be repeated again.
After this again.
This sucks of course. They get sent to places like Libya, Mozambique, and Mali, where they basically embarrass themselves and Russia as their employers.
How do they not suck?
