The US Army's Green Berets quietly helped tilt the battlefield a little bit more toward Ukraine

"The U.S. Army's Special Forces, better known as Green Berets, have had a deep impact on Ukraine's fight to defend itself from a Russian invasion, despite not being directly involved in the conflict.

"Ukraine was taken very seriously by Special Forces," retired Green Beret Sgt. Maj. Martin Moore told Fox News Digital.

After Russia's annexation of Crimea in 2014, a move that faced minimal resistance, the Ukrainian military began an effort to modernize its forces to prepare for possible further Russian incursions into the country. The U.S. military also quickly stepped in to help, with the Army's Green Berets taking on a critical role in training Ukrainian forces."

Yes, some American troops have been to Ukraine.

As trainers. I've done this role in the Philippines and Africa. I was never a member of Special Forces in my military career. Training friendly forces is standard.

I've been pretty clearly on the side of Russia being fully at fault here and that Putin is a POS that's invaded a sovereign nation for mostly fabricated reasons.

But holy shit would I rather take a hammer to my kneecap than have to watch the hollywood snobs falling all over themselves to show everyone how much they care about the Ukrainians. With probably a few exceptions, that's a room full of insufferable fakes that will latch onto anything that they think promotes their image.

If the cause du jour next year is starving alligators in the everglades, I fully expect the Hollywood crowd will show up wearing "feed the gators" pins and start a fundraising campaign for the collection of stray cats to be fed to the alligators or some shit.

Alright I'm done. In my mind I spit on the floor in front of me after I typed that. But I'm in my own living room...and my wife would be pretty pissed if I did that.

If this is legit true that we have been involved, then he even mentions it, only to have the White House immediately retract/correct his statement, hoping they don’t provoke Russia only highlights how senile Biden is. 25th amandement plzkthx

A friend of mine was a former Green Beret he is very ill I am sure his wife would be happy to tell him this news but his brother retired brigadier general I used to run with likely already has told him. It's amazing the general was a high school teacher and a brigadier general in the RI national guards I used to go out for 3 mile runs with him on the weekend really good dude. His son hit a homerun at the Houston Astro Dome when it was still standing while playing for notre dame. You would have never guessed the guy was in the Military he looked like a School Teacher same with his brother but his brother was a Helicopter pilot.

Retired US Special Forces and British SAS are currently in Ukraine helping with the fighting.

Biden also said the US would respond in kind if Russia used chemical weapons. The US no longer has a chemical weapons stockpile.
Someone needs to tell the stupid 'old man' (President) that he is wrong.
Anyone has the footage of Biden saying this? I saw it briefly on TV.

What that other guy said was a conspiracy theory. @Darkballs was spot on. Maybe it was some other reason, not his advisors that changed his mind, but Trump originally thought it was a genius move to invade.

Pmcs are on civilian escort duty from what iv seen on internet

Direct fighting is done by volunteers

Of course russian mercs or pmcs are in direct combat (looking at you wagner)

A team of SAS veterans has joined Ukraine’s defenses in its fight against the Russian invasion. The team is made up of retired UK special forces soldiers who volunteered for missions deep inside Ukraine to support its military defense line. Over a dozen have already arrived in Ukraine with another team expected to arrive this week.

According to the Mirror, the ex-paratroopers will include highly-trained snipers as well as anti-aircraft and anti-tank experts all aged between 40 to 60 years old. The British government is not paying for the operations but an unnamed European country is funding the movement through a private military company.
