Honestly, I don't think you know what the term propaganda even means. You've been consistently wrong since the start of this conflict and ought to be more careful about your takes by now. Nobody in their right mind thinks the attack on Kyiv was a "feint". It was an attempt by the Russian army to decapitate Ukraine and break its resistance, but it failed terribly and Russia lots thousands of men and a great deal of material. It's hilarious that you are still trying to claim otherwise.
Zelenskyy looks eerily uncomfortable here

Lol fuck me thousands died in kiev ? Lol even Ukraine only claimed " hundreds of paratroopers attacked the airport.. nothing like a bit of embellishment to add to the impact hey ?
Sorry mate you've lost me. And yes it was a fantastic moral boost to Ukraine... just like snake Island... just like the ghost of kiev... funny that.. it's almost like the media was releasing information to pump up Ukraine and belittle Russia Lol.
I'm not pro Russian
You know the battle was more then just the airport right? They also lost a jet carrying 450 paratroops, yes they lost thousands of troops. It was confirmed by the DOD and UK MOD
Don't worry, man, he's not pro-Russian. Totally not. Nope, no sir.You know the battle was more then just the airport right? They also lost a jet carrying 450 paratroops, yes they lost thousands of troops. It was confirmed by the DOD and UK MOD
They lost 4,500....in a month
They are currently at 20 to 25k lost.
Mind sourcing me that mate? I've done a few searches
It's hilarious that both of you are using numbers that even Ukraine doesn't . Glad to know you're so well informed lol
Ive left sources before. Don't act like me or many others haven't. They have been selfishly throwing troops to die with little Strategic reason. Use your mouse and look threw the thread, im sure youll find plenty of sources.
Did you not see the video i posted?![]()
look at that large amount of equipment and armored vehicles lost. They lost about 50 or so vehicles in the opening of they're eastern Offensive
This doesn't prove anything about the airfield battle mate... as I've stated quite a few times Russia is getting fucked up and things aren't going as planned for them....
You'd think there'd be one confirmed report or photo or something.... I mean they aren't small planes. And I doubt you wouldn't check to make sure their all dead...
The Ukrainians certainly believe that the Russians suffered heavy losses around Kyiv. They don't break down Russian losses by region in their reports, but they are claiming close to 30.000 kia Russian soldiers now. The actual number may be lower, but it's well over 20.000 according to most analysts now. A significant number of those losses were incurred around Kyiv in the failed offensive. The Russians had between 15.000-30.000 soldiers at Kyiv and they were pushed out - that means they took heavy losses.
The faction of let russia have more parts of ukraine and that will bring peace seems to be growing in the republican party
...whereas by contrast your claims are flying in the face of what every serious analysts out there says - and you are providing no numbers, sources or other evidence to back it up. It's just hard to take you seriously.Got 3 of you... using other battles and estimates.... to prove something that happened at the beginning of the war... because there's literally no confirmation or proof that what you're claiming.... happened.
Don't you find that odd ?

I've quoted the rusi quite a few times.
The Royal United Services Institute (RUSI) is the world's oldest and the UK's leading defence and security think tank.
Your the ones telling me they lost thousands... I've made no claims other than they held the airport for a month. Then withdrew..... this is confirmed by Ukrainian sources.

What did Russia gain by "feinting"? Their territorial gains are really nowhere near previous western expectations. What did they accomplish during this "feint"?And you think that was a attempt to take Kiev? Faaaiirr enough.
The media has done very well
Despite the loss of the airport, Ukrainian forces continued to engage the Russian forces in Hostomel. Eyewitnesses recorded videos of allegedly a Russian tank column burning in the distance and Ukrainian Mi-24s firing rockets at Russian positions.[5] Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov claimed that Ukrainian forces deployed BM-21 Grad in Kyiv to bombard Russian forces occupying the airport.[36] Olevsky stated that he believes casualties for both Russian and Ukrainian may number in the hundreds.[37]
On 26 February 2022, Ukrainian forces claimed that the Ukrainian Alpha Group unit destroyed a column of Russian armored vehicles near Hostomel.[38][39] Sophia Fedyna [uk; ru], a member of the Verkhovna Rada, alleged that Russian spetsnaz captured some members of the Ukrainian National Guard and were wearing their uniforms. She asked Ukrainian citizens and fighters to speak only in Ukrainian to help identify Russian saboteurs.[40][41][42]
As of 27 February 2022, the airport remained under Russian control as clashes began to shift to the towns of Bucha and Irpin to the south,[43] where Ukrainian forces claimed to have halted the Russian advances, contesting Russian forces in Hostomel amid intense fighting.[44][45][46][47] On 27 February, the Security Service of Ukraine released an alleged intercepted conversation of Russian forces in Hostomel reporting casualties and requesting to be evacuated.[48][49] On the same day, Ukrainian forces bombarded the airport with artillery, and claimed to have destroyed a number of Russian equipment, vehicles, and personnel.[50][51][52] The next day, a Russian military convoy stretching 40 miles (64 km) arrived at the airport in preparation for an assault on Kyiv.[53][54]
As of 28 March 2022, satellite imagery showed no Russian forces inside the airport.[55] On 29 March, Russian Deputy Minister of Defense Alexander Fomin announced a withdrawal of Russian forces from the Kyiv area,[56] including the abandonment of Hostomel Airport.[57]
By 2 April, Ukrainian forces had regained control of the airport following a large-scale Russian withdrawal along the Kyiv axis.[58] In their hasty retreat, Russian troops destroyed much of their own equipment, while other materiel was captured intact by the Ukrainians. In addition, other Russian equipment had been destroyed by Ukrainian artillery strikes before the withdrawal. Overall, Russia lost at least 7 armoured fighting vehicles, 23 infantry fighting vehicles, 3 armoured personnel carriers, 1 anti-aircraft gun, 2 field artillery pieces, 3 helicopters, as well as 67 trucks, vehicles and jeeps at Antonov Airport.[15]
They literally announced they were withdrawing from the airport.... days before it was back in Ukrainian hands........
To add to that..
The airport was then captured by the Russian forces. Despite this, the unexpected Ukrainian resistance foiled the plans of a quick capitulation of Kyiv, and the airport was too damaged to be used as a functional airstrip
