No, Russia has 20% of Ukraine. It will probably reach 30% before things are over. This is all perfectly acceptable after the US took over Venezuela.

In rare cases crude oil supplies , however refineries capable to handle heavy crude oil with high sulfur content easy peasy might handle Canadian Heavy Crude with very high sulfur content or cheapest Iraq versions too.

If sulfur lesser than 4.5 % and API at least 10°.

So, it is official (according to Trump), the US now controls Venezuela and its oil companies until such time Trump sees fit to turn the country back over to the Venezuelans. How long will that be? A few months or a few years.

The US achieved in Venezuela what Putin is trying to achieve in Ukraine. All in less than 24 hours. The United States has now taken over Venezuela.

I guess if the US can do it, so can Russia.
It just goes to show that a Russian invasion of Ukraine is perfectly okay. There is nothing wrong with invading another country. No matter how you do it.

The US will need a ground presence to enforce rules. It will be interesting to see how this will be done.

It's Kabuki theatre, the US grabbed Maduro in what was likely a pre-planned exchange, none of the helicopters took fire and no military bases or anything important was blown up by the Americans. I believe the Venezuelan military was ordered to stand down while the US blew up a bunch of empty warehouses and grabbed Maduro, I think we'll find out what the deal was and who got bribed to arrange it as more info leaks out.

This was not some super special A-team operation by the US, you don't do what they just did with helicopters against an enemy which is actually trying to resist, at best you get Somolia and Blackhawk Down, casually flying choppers over a city where there's hundreds if not thousands of MANPADs and other AA systems is a good way of losing everything.

We'll see what happens in the next few days & months, but I think this was a pure PR play much like the claimed bombing & destruction of Iran's nuclear facilities.

The US is using the same rhetoric that Kremlin defenders use = that America needs to protect its backyard (the entire Western hemisphere) from foreign military powers.

What are the philosophical repercussions of this for Ukrainian nationalism?

If the philosophical position of Russia is bad, then what are you contributing to the world if you're basically funded by the American imperialist war machine?

One recent answer to this is that the US topples dictatorships = thus these interventions are justified.

Russia is not justified in invading other countries because it is not democratic.

The logic breaks apart here when you consider that (1) the USA basically treats theocratic Saudi Arabia like a 51st state

If you support the USA war machine against the Russia war machine, you're literally just presenting the position that other states are okay to be exploited other than your own.
