International Russia/Ukraine Megathread V15

Bro doesn't know you study economics.

Out there trying to take a course in economy...
He doesn't knows about debts structures any bare thing.

For example majority of U.S gov debts are denominated in USD$, like Japan's stuff too.

It isn't some ukr...
They always might launch printer and pay....

He doesn't knows about debts structures any bare thing.
What does it mean?
When people say, "Japan holds some US debt," it means that the Japanese government, institutions, and individuals have invested in US Treasure securities, essentially lending money to the US government. This is a common practice where countries with trade surpluses accumulate foreign currency (like US dollars) and then invest it in assets like US government bonds to earn interest and manage their reserves.

Russian goals in the Ukraine conflict:
. Stop Ukraine from joining NATO.
. Expanding eastern territorial control.
. Denazification of Ukraine.

Ukrainian goals in the Ukrainian conflict:
. To restore its territorial integrity. To include Crimea.
. Ensuring the withdrawal of Russian forces from its borders.

So, Russia has achieved 80% of its goal while Ukraine has achieved 0% of its goal (last 3 years).
When will Ukraine surrender? It is losing the war, and its Army is almost combat ineffective. Weapons from Europe won't change anything. It has been tried and failed. Is Zelensky willing to lose 40% of the country or 100% of the country? Putin is not really interested in western Ukraine. Why does Zelensky now want to talk to Putin about a possible peace deal? Does he realize the odds are against him? Is he being pressured by his own military? 3.5 years of war for Ukraine and things are only getting worse. Russia has destroyed over 55% of the Ukrainian Army and the rest are deserting the Army. The Ukrainian civilian population is tired of this war and want peace. Whatever the cost. ...but Zelensky won't stop. Russia can keep this going, Ukraine cannot. After a massive kill number of Ukrainian soldiers (which is not reported), Russia is now moving west, Step II in the operation. How many villages has it taken in the last 2 months?

As Ukraine crumbles under waves of drones, missiles, and glide bombs, a sliver of hope rests on diplomacy. Ukraine and Russia prepare to meet in Istanbul for the third round of peace talks haggling over prisoner exchanges and territory. Moscow warns that there could not be a breakthrough, but Kyiv remains hopeful of a resolution.

Dunno why zelonka had changed laws about anti corruption agency.
Yes, however these will continue to work but now under general prosecutor bla bla bla.

However IMHO this agency irl was more empty noise nothing more.....

The same eggs purchase scandal: too high prices...reznikov bad, gave him another, different job and just install next MoD.

However not MoD is calculating procurement tenders offers ....
Ukr Ministry of Defense does have xxx well paid high level bireucrats for this.
Bunch with departments directors, comitees members etc....

So actually ukr should invstigate these batches of high level bireucrats, actually reduce their salaries too btw......

A lot of ukr officers are angry why their salaries are considerably lower than " eggs specialists " ( food procurement specialists ) salaries in Kiev offices.

Ukr hitting and pounding Sochi city hard tonight with crazy UAV's. Shocking videos of impacts filmed by citizens coming all over Telegram.

Ukr has also hit Chechnia and Dagestan they say but Sochi especially is in total chaos, people are staying in underground car parks. Sochi is relatively far away from Ukr to be able to launch such a high volume aerial attack, some russians rumor that Ukr is using the territory of Georgia to launch their drones!

Casual rus propaganda.
1. Georgia now does have pro Kremlin oriented ruling coalition in Parliament.
They definitely even had orderd to prevent such stuff to happen. Cos they wants to trade with russia and simultaniously avoid western sanctions.
A lot of rus origin companies had registered their branches as on paper like different companies etc.

There are also " separatists " controlled areas with some rus peacekeepers. Ofc 0 doubts that both these are KGB informants equipped with sattelite phones and radio stations etc ...

Even more realistic that stuff might be launched from Russia... because closer and more dense monitoring is near border....not somewhere more far from border...

Could be launched from rus ground itself totally... you know what is weird in some of the videos, some people recording seem happy about the impacts and are in literally exctasy lol

Ukraine has been getting quite a lot of money specifically for their long range capabilities from an increasing amount of countries. Easy way to get around US blocking long range weapons because they have US components. Started with the small countries but the bigger countries have been getting on board as well.

Ukraine not being a rich country means even small states can have a pretty big impact if their money is specifically targeted at one capability like long range strikes.

Takes time to turn that money into manufacturing capability and long range weapons. I doubt we're seeing the full impact of the early adopting countries... I think we are only seeing the beginning of the money they sent.

Germany and UK only got onboard recently, Germany this month. Hundreds of millions pledged but doubtful that money has produced a dozen drones so far.

Took a little bit for these drones to pass the sniff test for many countries but they're the cheapest and most effective way for them to make things in Russia go boom. There's going to be a lot more of them by years end.

Going to be hard for Ukraine to match the production ability of Russia... but it's straight up impossible for Russia to match Ukraine's interception rate.

How so?
Russian air defense systems are as good as what Ukraine is using. The S-400 Triumph system is generally considered advanced and powerful. How exactly will Ukraine intercept and destroy a mixture of 2,000 Russian missiles and drones come this November?

If about Checnya and Dagestan ....
Ukr really might even find locals not statisfied with their local rulers...
Because small villages are super poor, larger cities well funded, literally like there different world..

Grozny is very modern city with low unemployment % and good for Russia salaries. Ruling class does have the same comfort level like rich ppl in west. Norm is expensive cars, top level gadgets from mobile phones and tablets, PCs and TVs , conditioners and so on.. Grozny does have fast internet connections, some new buildings with flats and even apartments not worse than in western europe....

And for contrast small villages with high unemployment %, low salaries and infrastructure & buildings in even considerably worse condition than in 1990 th...

Maybe some % of ppl are very scared about so huge disparity etc....

Germany is very slow in decision making about any equipment transfer...snail pace ...
Money they sometimes might gave very quickly...

For example they had helped to stabilize ukr financial situation in March 2022 th , when yet had still debated send ukr helmets and blankets or no.
Money, yup, 1b€ to gave them took 1 day....

__/
Drones they , I don't know how willing they were to gave drones earlier...recently had gave 1000 drones...
These aren't long range, maybe like Lancet ....and it is supposed that Ukr had used them to target radars.... something innovative, partially based on AI/ ML solutions, low effective radar reflection cross section....

There is question is this " aid " or sales deal.
If it is aid from existing stockpiles then stuff might be done during 1 week.

If it is sales deal, then it will will be longer: it will require DoD decision etc stuff plus re export permits signed if one country will purchase with intent to transfer or re sell etc...
Months longer till permits....usually.

Fastest way to provide aid is if Trump will use PDA authority and here he doesn't need even to change budget 2025 th or 2026 th....
They does have still unused funding booked for this from 2024 th autumn.
3.85 b USD$ for this is left. Already booked long ago.
Mike confirmed this.
While Mike doesn't wants to spend any cent on Ukr, he isn't against this cos it will not impact budget 2025 or 2026 th at all.
Stuff is booked long ago.

Because if for example Germany will purchase something with intent to send to Ukr, it will require DoD and Pentagon decisions for permits and ofc Trump too.
This will take ....months.....
