International Russia/Ukraine Megathread V15

I'm totally out of the loop on the latest developments of war tech... but isn't mirage 2000 a really old jet? even brazil, who went decades without modernizing its armed forces, deactivated then a decade ago and sent them to museums.
Are they sent trash equipment to ukraine or am I missing something?

Even while at war, you're free to protest the government in Ukraine. If you're in Red Square in Moscow and hold up a blank sheet of paper, you'll be instantly arrested.

The old saying goes that in War the first death causality is the truth. Both sides obviously pump massive propaganda, that's to be expected.
The reporting on these protests feels like someone from the western side trying to undermine Zelensky. Question is if it's internal opposition or some "ally" wanting to change things.

Well, you will be instantly arrested in Israel (as an Israeli citizen) if you talk about Israeli nuclear weapons.
Everyone is forbidden do address the subject.

Drones are currently the new flavor for western military. Same for Russia.
The Mirage 2000 is old but still effective. The issue being parts and maintenance. Ukraine is trying to get all the "hand-me-down" weapons it can get its hands on. Old helicopters from Australia and other military inventory from other countries. What they need are soldiers. That, they won't be getting, hence they will lose this conflict. The current Ukrainian Army is a shadow of what it was in 2022.

Russian sabotage and reconnaissance groups reportedly recently advanced into southern Pokrovsk as Russian forces continue to pursue their operational objective of enveloping the town.

One man's garbage is another man's treasure. I'm of the opinion that if we decommission the A-10 we should send them all to Ukraine. Once the bullets run out they can load them up with explosives and use them as UAVs.

Well, looks like the Russian economy is doing well.

Russia to spend $1.1 trillion preparing for 'upcoming large-scale war,' Ukraine's intel chief says

you dont understand how economy's work do you? If this is true it mean they are printing a trillion that they dont have...that will have major consequences and accelerate their collapse...but hopefully gain a few more piles of ruble so it would be worth it.

This is how it feels in Kyiv, Moscow... You reap what you sow.

This is a key new strategy sending a message to regular Russians who are ok with Putler sending hundreds of drones and missiles every night in terror attacks trying to kill civilians while they are mad at getting their flights delayed....fuck them, they need to feel the pain of this war.

Wow comrade your are very smart for sure but I'll tell you a little secret while more soldiers are always great to have this is not WW1 like Russia throws away its men in meat charges they have done for 3-1/2 years now. this is a drone war for UKR where they can hit Russian targets way before they even get to the front.

Is that not exactly what the US did under Joe Biden? Have you ever taken a course in economy? US economy in particular?
Also, the primary foreign holders of U.S. debt are Japan, the United Kingdom, and China.
. Japan: $1.13 trillion
. China: $765 billion
. UK: $779 billion

Nice spin but comparing economies is like comparing apples and oranges. You will continue to lie for Russia but many business's, banks , and the government has come out and said how bad things are getting and it's only getting worse as the sanctions keep coming harder and harder....I hope it's worth the lives and economic damage that Putler is doing for the very special military operation.

they do have some modernized ones, and theyre technically still pretty good jets. Mirage 2000-5F is the most modern one of 2 of the most updated models. I think the UAE has the most advanced ones.

Theyre good multi-roll and ground strike aircraft, but yeah. Support for them is phasing out for the Rafael and F-16. i suspect is gonna update its F-16s and look into getting F-15s after the war.

Yes.
They anyway had scheduled to wrote off these even before 2022 th.

However to yell on France isn't smart for ukr : dumb ukraine had too much yelled about possible very large scale long war in europe xxxx days in row.

For aviation France is providing gliding bombs and unfortunately looks that ukr crying about soon large long war in europe had ordered lesser number of these bombs micron had scheduled to deliver on monthly basis at least till end of 2025 th....
France does have different size bombs with gliding modules...
These bombs not only aren't old models kits but also highly resistant against radioelectronic warfare, also is possible to use different " heads " , i.e also for target pointed by someone with laser ...
Additionally, they had adapted pylons for launch and not only Mirage , also ukr Su 27, Su 25 and Su 24 and Mig 29 might use these bombs...

Plus supply these they does have lesser financial pressure than to supply SAM missiles for SAMP-T

Because bombs they already does have ...
After this guidance kit and gliding module should be installed...
