Part of them are shocked because are scared to see U.S to look weak....there are also a lot of business interest weirdo might hurt.

The same tariffs for aluminium in metal form and alloys: these usually are importer from countries where electricity is cheap, so therefore corporations had built factories.

From Europe it will not happen, from EEZ yes...Iceland.
Then Canada, NZ.

Then stuff cheaper and for manufacture business in U.S is easier to earn money.
If they will use local aluminium, it will create higher demand for electricity and with this increase prices.

Aluminium production does have huge demands for electricity therefore even Communists had built largest factories closer to large hydroelectric power plants...producing a lot of cheap electricity....

Trump not likely cares.
Maybe does cares, if he will sign bunch with permits for very large hydroelectric power plants.

Also if he does want cheap oil, will sign a lot of drilling and fracking permits. Thus far Obama had signed more than Biden and Trump together...remember Trump already was POTUS 4 years.

I am going to say one thing after following russian social media for three years: russians are so scared that they piss blood from the ukrainians even if you let the ukrainians completely naked. Despite of the initiative which the russians have clearly had in the last year and despite of Trump demolishing Zelensky every day with different Kremlin narratives and expressions, russian bloggers are not enjoying still their vodka, they continue to produce as usual - panic (for no legitimate reason IMO). Here is what Kashevarova had to say in her most recent Telegram:

P.S.: Well, as usual, they choose an offensive for significant dates. It is possible that everything will begin on February 23. Everyone is celebrating in Russia, drinking, and not waiting for the Ukrainian Armed Forces to attack.
