International Russia/Ukraine Megathread V15

Ah yes insults, truly sign of intelligent person.

You are ex military, care to enlighten me how 50k will go against 200k to 400k in a frontline thats 1522 miles in length

300k on the front lines, another 300k for rotation & support, plus another million or so active duty if NATO decides to get stupid, plus however many millions they can call up in reserves if the shit truly hits the fan. NATO can't do shit unless the US commits, which it won't unless it's monumentally stupid.

People forget that Pres. Zelenskyy earned a law degree BEFORE he became a comedian.

If the U.S. is standing alone then the entire world will change.

And not for the better.

Don't worry. West loves Putin. Therefore didn't had even sold ukr any heavy weaponry before invasion 2024 th. Later supplied a bit cos looks they wants to keep part of ukr as Grey buffer zone....other part will be for Putin.
Will be Munich 1938 th type stuff. You know, Chamberlain type repetition.

So why you think that for example Poland doesn't know that it will be for Ukraine... they does have good memory about history...so.

Ofc if ukr didn't had felt during 32 years that for West they are Grey zone in best case or even looked like russian protectorate it is their dreams..

It doesn’t take rocket science to understand why they’re trying to join a military alliance that’s invested in defending these principles. Especially since remnants of their former Soviet overlords are willing to breach their sovereignty by invading them. Putin is not a fan of nations he views as Soviet huddling up with the West and doing a way better job economically, because it undermines his power as a Soviet remnant imperialist dictator.
That was a good post. I'll address the last piece.
Ukraine was the crown jewel of the Soviet empire. There is a lot of history between the two nations prior to Ukraine's independence, not to mention that much of Eastern Ukraine is pro-Russian. Putin's view of Eastern Europe occupation by the west is not so different from the American view of Europe and Russia occupation of the Americas. 20th century United States was guided by the Monroe Doctrine - a foreign policy that established the US as the dominant power in the western hemisphere. The US defended South Korea and South Vietnam in what it perceived as a communist expansion. Russia is doing the same as it relates to NATO expansion Eastwards. What is so hard about Ukraine not joining NATO? Ukraine has created the very thing they were trying to avoid. In the process being negated NATO membership and now weakening US support not only for itself, but to NATO as a whole.

Here we clearly see where things are going:

Ukraine's Zelenskyy no longer counting on US support against Russia

Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Saturday the time has come for the creation of an “armed forces of Europe" because the U.S. may no longer be counted on to support Europe.

So, Zelensky is whining again and now wants Europe to build an Army and come and save him.
Ukraine and Europe now excluded from US/Russian talks regarding an end to the conflict. What does that tell you? Also, Ukraine was a corrupt country prior to the 2022 invasion. Similar to its neighboring countries that use to be part of the USSR. The politics and the government, regardless of the economy or the quality of life. Actually, that is the reality of most countries in the world. Just look at all the countries in Latin America. All the countries in Africa. Very few countries rise to the level of a United States, France, Britain, Germany, and Italy. Unfortunately, due to Ukraine's location, it faces unique circumstances. It will be forever tied to Russia.

One thing I will say is that the Russian Army has learned its lesson in Ukraine and modified it to be stronger. It is now winning on the battlefield. Regardless of what some stupid videos might have you believe. Russia may end up taking 30% to 40% of the Eastern part of the country before this is all over.

Especially Kim will be more aggressive. More missiles tests and threats...more and more.
Ofc Iran too will be considerably more aggressive plus it's proxies too. Plus if beear in mind that they does have not only casual soldiers, also some % are fanatics with 0 fear to die.
More than this, fanatics are worldwide....so terrorism risks will increase.
Sectants too in some cases does have fanatics dreaming to die properly. In Japan was sect and some sectants attacked metro with gas...relatively long ago. Then it was big shock for their society.

@AWilder was in the military? The US military? What branch?
Let me take a wild guess, the men's department of the U.S. Navy?

Christ!
Any U.S. Army General that took the time to go to Pathfinder school and actually wear the badge is not someone I care to listen to.

General Cavoli is the same moron who stated that the 2023 Ukrainian counteroffensive would be a success.
Anyone still quoting him or posting his videos is a fucking moron, he hasn't been right about a single thing in this war.

At this point when ever Vance or Trump talk about the war you really dont know what's coming out of their mouths. it's like they are trying to keep both sides on their toes.
I think they are trying, poorly, to hide the hands they have been told to play.

I love how NATO is a huge threat to Russia but also weak and easily defeated by Russia. You dorks are brainwashed.

Wow....

The Russian soldiers aren't being trained and every contract that's signed is de facto indefinite.

Not unless the U.S. wants to go to war with Russia over those rare Earth elements. Because I don't think that Russia will give up the territory they've seized because Trump just wants them. There's going to have to be some rock-solid security guarantees for the extraction to take place.
Are the minerals on the side of the border Russia already took over? I think they want to extract on the Ukrainian side after the peace deal.
