International Russia/Ukraine Megathread V15

You on the other hand...sad and pathetic.
Yeah, I know, not supporting Ukraine tends to bring out that response. Man, 'double yellows,' you must have really fucked up somewhere along the line. Now, that is pathetic. Got to be a little smarter about what you write, or you will soon be banned.

The Kremlin reiterated that it is ready to hold talks with US President-elect Donald Trump without any "preconditions" but noted that its negotiating position remains unchanged.
Kremlin Spokesperson Dmitry Peskov responded on January 10 to a Trump statement about arranging a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin and stated that Putin is open to contact with international leaders and that "no conditions are required for this [contact]." Peskov reiterated, however, that the Kremlin maintains its "repeatedly voiced" position on Ukraine that Putin explicitly defined in June 2024 and repeated in his December 19 Direct Line presentation. Putin demanded in June 2024 that Ukraine replace Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and his government under the guise of "denazification," demilitarize, and cede significant swaths of territory in eastern and southern Ukraine to Russia, including areas of Ukraine that Russia does not currently occupy -- all effectively amounting to Ukraine's full capitulation. No negotiations will result in a meaningful or sustainable peace as long as Putin remains committed to these demands -- regardless of the Kremlin's "willingness" to hold talks with Western leaders.

Yeah, here is the important:

In a significant departure from Joe Biden's messaging, Mr Trump also said he sympathised with Moscow's concerns about NATO. "I hope to have six months. No, I would think, I hope long before six months," he said. He added: "A big part of the problem is, Russia — for many, many years, long before Putin — said, 'You could never have NATO involved with Ukraine.' Now, they've said that. That's been, like, written in stone. "And somewhere along the line Biden said, 'No. They should be able to join NATO.' Well, then Russia has somebody right on their doorstep, and I could understand their feelings about that."

2008 th. Putin for TV channel in Germany.
"we did not have any target here ...Crimea ( within Ukraine ) is not a disputed territory. There has been no ethnic conflict there, unlike the conflict between South Ossetia and Georgia. Russia has long recognized the borders of modern day Ukraine."

Not sure why Putin would even have to negotiate as UKR is almost out of troops right? He should just make demands as russia is doing very well on the battlefield and at home right? Oh ya now Russia's failing shadow fleet is getting sanctioned harder making it difficult to run there POS tankers to far away customers that's if they dont sink before they get there of course causing major oil spills . I'm sure shutting off the gas pipeline through UKR didnt help Russia's war machine either not to mention they are hitting the oil depots non stop and that comes with a major repair cost and supply disruption. You may have or have not noticed the Ruble dropping like a bad habit and the economy inside Russia struggling on many fronts with high interest rates and a man power shortage but the super special military operation is going as planned right?
Putler has fucked Russia short and long term, even if he manages to steal some land he has lost his best customers for his products for the foreseeable future....Russia is fucked.

A bunch of Russia shills came back after Trump got elected thinking he was just going to give Putin whatever he wanted. But reality is a bit different and thats why the shills and trolls have gone away because Trump is still a wild card and him giving Putler UKR is not likely .

Oh I think he 100% does, but the important part is how he can use it to serve his own ego. He will always, always, always be driven by self interest. If handing something to Putin gets him X, he will do Y every time

I 100% disagree, too many people have such a hate for Trump they cant see straight. Trump knows Putler is weak right now and has no reason to kiss his ass or appease him. Trump is not going to let Putin have one over on him and let history speak for itself. He has now went rom a 24 hour peace deal to 100 days....there is a reason for that as he knows Russia will be on it's knees by then.

Let me rephrase: he will give Putin whatever he wants if there's enough in it for himself. And I don't think that will be hard to accomplish, if it hasn't already. I wouldn't be surprised if we get a performative back and forth, but ultimately Trump would (and probably has) sell his soul to the devil if he thinks the price is right. I mean, for example, what's stopping the Putins of the world from just flooding money into Truth Social and literally buying what they want? The man had no values.

trumps not wildcard...hes a transparent sack of shit. No one with an iq above room temperature believes trump can solve the conflict without giving Russian concessions at the expense of Ukrainian sovereignty. Now its likely Trump gives in to Russia as its likely hes compromised at some level by the Russians...which is the reason the russian shills and trolls have had a hard on for Trump getting elected

I'm no fan of Trump but I want Ukraine to thrive so I'm willing to pull for him because if Trump wins, then we all win.

Yes. Check my post above regarding Putin.

What I think will happen is that Trump will ask Putin to stop the war and keep the territory he has currently acquired from Ukraine. He will guarantee Putin that Ukraine will not join NATO while he is President. Trump will ask Zelensky to stop the war and maintain its current territory. He will tell him that Ukraine will not join NATO while he is President. This with the promise of helping to rebuild Ukraine and help it maintain a strong Army. Zelensky will most likely remain in power until the people vote him out or he is assassinated. This conflict has been an overall loss for Ukraine after 3 years. All could have been avoided if Biden had not said a small Russian incursion into Ukraine would be okay (January 2022) and played a stronger hand against Putin. Same for the situation in the Middle East. What Biden says drives how our allies, partners, competitors, and enemies think about America in terms of its ability and reliability, be it as friend or foe. For its part, Russia has said for many years that Ukraine could never have NATO involvement. How large was the German male population after WWII? How large will the Ukrainian male population be after this conflict is over? Everything that could have gone wrong for Ukraine went wrong: No NATO membership. A war with Russia. A defeat to Russia. A country now damaged.

You keep saying this while refusing to ever acknowledge that the actual goal of Russia is, has been, and always will be completely destroying and absorbing the entire country lol
It's gotta be pathological with you
Did you suffer a TBI at some point? Eat a bunch of paint chips?

It is literally Lavrov's office mouthpeace here.

Especially if ppl knowledgeable with european realpolitik, Putin too, knew that Ukraine didn't had chance to get in NATO or EU 2021-2024 especially IF Russia didn't had invaded.
This is real life not mainstream media.

Ofc I also think that IF war didn't had happened, party Servant of People and Zelensky had lost next scheduled elections. Loud talks about militarization and de facto deMilitarization continued. Economic promises vs reality.
Empty dreams continued despite real life. Abdirstantoeich as advisor...maybe Zelensky should had paid me? I was more correct before fact appearead than this clown advisor... for free.
Despite my field of business intetest now is construction material sales and forex trading to hedge risks..... earlier was also stuff with pubs etc.... what didn't managed to do with pub stuff for me 2008/2009 crisis ....this managed to do covid repeated lockdowns and prohibitions.
