I think the deck of cards Putler has built will be coming down sooner then later. With Biden finally sanctioning the ghost fleet feeding India and China that has decimated Russian oil money as well as hitting the refineries non stop and of course the end of the gas transit.
It's not a surprise Putler is willing to meet with Trump and likely pitch a good sales pitch as Russia cant continue to this war for 3 years with all the loses and devastation to his country to gain 20% of destroyed UKR territory.
