International Russia/Ukraine Megathread V15

I'm surprised at how good at long range drones Ukraine is. Not sure if they are domestics or loaners.
Not very complicated with today's technology, and GPS guidance. I can probably build one myself but police will definitely pay me a visit.

LOL at people "worrying" about no elections in Ukraine. Ukrainians dont give a shit about elections, so neither should you. They will deal with Zelensky once the war is over. Unlike Russia's eternal president, Ukraine has changed a few already and will continue to do so.

One thing I am wondering about since the West has supposedly cut off Russia from their oil for sometime I believe that the oil industry IE Saudi Arabia and unfortunately UAE and other producers will push prices upward. They don't care about people all they care about is their wealth and oil supply disruption such as the refinery attacks are a no go. This is why the US keeps telling Ukraine to focus on Crimea and not hit Russian oil supplies. Oil industry lobbyists are likely complaining to the US government officials.

Lindsey you MAGA fruit you do realize that Ukraine has been borrowing all along under a US policy called " Delegation of Authority Under Section 506(a)(1) of the Foreign Assistance Act of 1961"? It's not like they don't plan of favorable trade policy's and in return provide far greater value then just receiving weapons and 70 to 80 percent of that weapons assistance comes back to the US. Besides they are providing the ability to push back Russia and to send a message as Putin now feels embolden to send now that he has made gains due to a lack of assistance. What they been doing for less then 1/10th the defense budget is to remove 30 percent of Russia's tanks and BMP's off the battle field and send a huge cost to them. I wish Europe alone was able to provide the advance weapons and technology so Ukraine could just say we don't want your help. Europe quickly closing that gap with drone technology and anti missile systems and started their own hypersonic missile programs. It got tot the point that Lockheed is expanding their operations in Europe.

KYIV (Reuters) - U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham said on Monday, after meeting Ukraine's president, that he was confident an aid package stalled in the U.S. Congress would soon be approved, but called for aid to take the form of a low-interest, waivable loan.

Graham said he fully backed extending the aid, but told Ukrainians they had to take account of U.S. domestic problems that hang over the legislation, including border security.

He and other Republicans have backed the notion of loans rather than grants for U.S. allies to make the expenditure more sustainable and popular, a plan espoused by former President Donald Trump, the likely Republican candidate in the 2024 presidential election.

"If you want aid to Ukraine, you better start talking to the American taxpayer. You better start talking to them about what's going on. Thirty-four trillion (dollars) in debt," Graham told a news conference after talks with President Volodymyr Zelenskiy.

"Can we provide a loan that's waivable with no interest? Yes. Can Ukraine absorb that? Yes. I think President Zelenskiy would welcome the weapons in any fashion we could get the weapons to him."

President Joe Biden has asked Congress to back a bill that would provide $60 billion more in aid for Ukraine. It has passed the Democratic-led Senate, but it cannot become law unless it is passed by the Republican-led House of Representatives.

The lower chamber’s leaders, who have so far refused to allow a vote, are close Trump allies.

Zelenskiy, in his nightly video address, said he briefed Graham on the situation on the battlefield, where Russian forces have made some recent gains, but front lines have changed little for several months.

Zelenskiy made no reference to the aid package or loan proposal but said the two men discussed "further cooperation and support for Ukraine. All our actions must be farsighted, far-reaching and as effective as possible to allow free nations to continue living in freedom and security."

Graham, a Republican from South Carolina, said he was "more optimistic than ever" that the House will endorse the package.

He said 70% of Republicans in the Senate understand the need to help Ukraine as well as a similar number of Republicans in the House.

"But we have a broken border at home. So when I go to South Carolina, they talk about, 'you want to help Ukraine? Well, what about our own border?'" he said. "We have to, as political leaders, address our own people too."

A non-interest, waivable loan, he said, "makes a lot of sense". Graham said he had spoken about to it House Speaker Mike Johnson before his trip "and I am hoping it will be in the package that will get out of the house in the coming days, not weeks".

Domestic, only a handful of countries allow their weapons to be used on Russian soil.
Russia and their friends can't prevent this to happen because all they are pussy bit***es....

Looks that Ukraine found way to sneak in Russia drones parts and assemble them in Russia and then launch. From Russia.
BTW Ukrainians like Russisans doesn't trust americans and hate them for a reason.

Europe doesn't trust U.S anymore.
Not more than Russia.
While Europe is capable to provide money, some EU countries can't afford to deplete their stockpiles.... instead they should increase these....
BTW U.S is done deal and will not matter will be Trump or Biden POTUS.
Stuff Ukr needs from U.S are weapons and ammo. Not money....
Europe maybe better should sanction U.S and negotiate with China, India etc....today.....

Borrel told that they will release additional 5 b € bill with permit to purchase stuff also from countries outside from EU...
Also EU needs to use additional funding from interest rates from freezed russian assets.
For exapmle Euroclear alone does have approx 190 b € freezed assets.

In worst case EU might confiscate freezed assets .....and they doesn't fear nor from Putin nor Biden or Trump.

In the bigger picture for UKR hitting these oil depots is big, with much of the western tech left when war started and various parts and material isnt easily replaced depending on what the damage is. I'm sure Russia could put some band aids on it but this will be a big prob going forward for Russia.

Ukr had managed to f***k up hydrocracking column and this is considerably more worth than casual oil depot. It is slow to replace and very expensive. Most likely diversants from local area. Damage financially is more than 100m$....

Also disrupts Russian supply to their own country which will cause more probs inside the country. Hopefully it will continue.

Nah fuck that. I support democracy and in this thread it's been cited as one of the main differences between Ukraine and Russia.

You don't get to get go naaaah. Shits serious now so no democracy..... that's exactly what fucking Putin does.

North Koreans don't give a shit about elections. Nor should i?

Palestinians don't give a shit about elections. Why should I?

Russians don't give a shit about elections... why should I?

I definitely will critique the lack of elections

no, that's not exactly what fucking Putin does. Putin has been in power for decades. Ukraine had 6, not counting Turchinov, presidents since its independence. one of them won re-election twice, but chose not to go for the third term.
so sure, continue critiquing lack of elections this time, but dont go full retard saying that that's excatly what Putin does.

Russia has allegedly lost 600 men in the attacks on its border regions in recent days, and the operation has hindered Vladimir Putin’s war efforts by keeping his troops distracted, according to Ukrainian intelligence.

The armed offensive—waged by three anti-Kremlin Russian militia groups earlier this month—has also left more than 800 Russians wounded, according Andrii Yusov, a representative of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense’s Main Intelligence Directorate. Speaking on a telethon Monday, Yusov added that 20 Russian armored vehicles and seven tanks have been damaged in the attacks, which he described as having caused “serious enemy losses.”"

That's not true

Biden is perceived as weak and with tied hands by at home bullshit, but at least he seems to stick with NATO direction

Trump is full retard and focused only on win local audience, with hostile approach toward the team he should be leader of (NATO) and that idea of leave completely ukranians alone... wich would have tremendous impact not only on ukranians but also on perception of team west as possible ally/partner/protector

As ugly is to say image wise when afghans were left alone or even kurds being fucked over and over is small impact compared to what would be betray ukranians

I said it in another thread, but still guess worth repeat give what we're talking about, regardless of political orientation (i don't have a party but mindset wise i'm much more right than left) i find absurd how americans even consider vote Trump during current scenario

Biden seems only viable option for the west as we speak, if anything problem is he should pick a not ridicolous vice president considering give age/signs of decay during next run he may have to give up the throne and doubt anybody with a brain want Kamala's bullshit (don't know american politics, if he's even in time to pick a decent one)
