International Russia/Ukraine Megathread V15

No, it was an attempt to bring free and fair elections, what a large majority of Russians want

Weird that you blame people who are actually asking for Putin to respect the Russian Constitution and hold free and fair elections instead of you know the corrupt politicians that violate it.
The thing is, even if there were fair elections, anonymous polls show that Putin would win them anyway. He is (on purpose) the only national level politician in Russia right now. But he will get old and die someday, and that's the horse trading to watch- who thinks they are the successor.

Democrats they think due to members of AOC's side cannot support a forced vote. Mike puts it on the floor he's doomed. This is why things are frozen. I think next week things could move as Mike of all people slammed Putin in his hardest language yet of the killing of opposition leader.
And this is your answer as to who benefits the most from Navalny’s death

I had noted that in YT etc media comments had increased campaign against countries " recieving " EU subsidies and these posts are designed for idiots.....or at least dumb ppl.

I will explain in details why I don't want EU subsidions mechanism at all and this IMHO should be cancelled today.
Subsidions does come together with rules you should follow and this is mandatory......
1. st example: when waste handling company I'm using had to implement EU rules for waste handling they raised price for their service and I should pay for this....

Later EU had implemented CO stuff for landfills and " subsidies " LOL....
Weste remowal and handling company had calculated that better is to collect lanfill gas and for them it will be cheaper....cos quotas...

They get some " subsidies " however co financing was mandatory....
So they had get 24 m € subsidies and had borrowed 10 m €....btw money borrowed is from Lucky westerners private pension funds...
As outcome I had to pay even higher price for waste remowal .....cos company had installed landfill gas collection and co generation " biogas " plant.
From these 34 m € actually 30 m € get Germany's companies to install this beauty...

5 mins in to the video you pro Putin F heads. A lesson for you S heads.

This is reality...
He will be elected IF ....Russia will not have soap stamps and vodka&sugar and cigarettes stamps.....reason why USSR dream collapsed and communists in Russia had declared independence of Russian Federation from USSR....
Ammount of underground ecomomy then was approx 50%......

The thing is, even if there were fair elections, anonymous polls show that Putin would win them anyway
Because he murders and jails all opposition, part of having free and fair elections is to allow political opposition to exist.

. He is (on purpose) the only national level politician in Russia right now. But he will get old and die someday, and that's the horse trading to watch- who thinks they are the successor.
If he stops murdering people that oppose him and he allows free and fair elections, there would be more people to actually run against him.

Russia isn't a real country, its just Putin fiefdom, Russia exists only to serve Putin's interests, if you are a Russian nationalist or a Russian liberal that only wants the best for the country, it doesn't matters you oppose Putin and your life is forfeit.

That's a mafia State.

I had noted a lot of comments about Estonia done by paid trolls...in social media comments section ......nothing not expected BTW.
1. st thing reality is that estonians does have in general better english pronouncoation and considerably better technical skill than this YT guy...
2. Estonians doesn't trust anyone, even their relatives and this is reality...
3. Anglo saxonians had sold them to Stalin and had maintained hardcore lies to portray them as eastern europeans, commies etc...since this time they does have 0 trust.
For example they had purchased 2 submarines from country who had sold them to Stalin .....and excuses and lying had turned them into brutal calculation machine.
0 trust....
BTW Estonia's banking and telecommunications industry is Western owned and credited with these cocky ppl money for a reason.....deep reason.

Russia wasn’t meddling in the U.S. elections, this is just Democrat party propaganda

A Russian operative was the one giving the GOP their "rock solid" information on the "crimes" of Pres. Biden.

They've been arrested for lying to the F.B.I.

Protestors in Russia are almost never incarcerated, they are taken to a police station, their information is recorded and they are let go.

What political opposition has Putin killed ?

Nemtsov was killed by his shady business partners and had literally zero weight in Russian politics when it happened.

Navalny ? An MI-6 asset with a clear goal of destabilizing Russian political situation. I don’t believe he was killed by Putin, and rather died of natural causes

Putin takes a flight in nuclear-capable bomber in a tough message to the West ahead of election

Russia’s President Vladimir Putin has taken a co-pilot's seat in a nuclear-capable strategic bomber, a flight that appeared aimed at bolstering his image ahead of next month’s election he’s all but certain to win

MOSCOW -- Russia's President Vladimir Putin on Thursday took a co-pilot's seat in a nuclear-capable strategic bomber on a flight that appeared aimed at bolstering his image ahead of next month's election he's all but certain to win.

Putin's 30-minute flight in a Tu-160M supersonic strategic bomber also seemed intended to send a reminder of Russia's nuclear might amid soaring tensions with the West over the fighting in Ukraine.

Putin, 71, who is running as an independent candidate, relies on a tight control over Russia’s political system that he has established during 24 years in power. Friday's death of imprisoned Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny sent a chilling reminder of the Kremlin’s ruthless crackdown on dissent and dealt a heavy blow to the beleaguered Russian opposition.

On Thursday, Putin, clad in a flight suit, boarded the warplane at a snow-covered airfield of an aircraft-making plant in the Volga River city of Kazan that has built the heavy bombers since the Soviet times.

The plant has received state orders to produce a modernized version of the Tu-160 bomber that first flew in the 1980s and was code-named Blackjack by NATO.

The aircraft Putin flew was one of the first such revamped bombers built, equipped with new engines and avionics and designated Tu-160M.

Speaking to reporters after the flight, Putin praised the new aircraft as “excellent,” noting that it has big improvements compared to the initial version.

Thursday's flight marked at least the third time he got in a cockpit of a warplane. In 2000, he took a co-pilot's seat in a Su-27 fighter to fly to Chechnya during separatist fighting there and in 2005 he co-piloted a Tu-160 during military drills.

As part of the Kremlin efforts to project an image of an action-loving and physically strong leader, Putin also took a co-pilot's seat in an amphibious plane, flew a paraglider and drove a racing car and heavy trucks.

He also drove a heavy truck to a meeting in Kazan on Thursday, one of a series of campaign trips ahead of the March 15-17 presidential election.

With prominent critics who could challenge him either jailed or living abroad and most independent media banned, Putin’s reelection is all but assured. He faces a token opposition from three other candidates nominated by Kremlin-friendly parties represented in parliament.

SINGAPORE — Six months after Ukrainian pilots tested the Swedish Gripen fighter jets, the aircraft’s vendor says government and industry movements are continuing to provide them to Kyiv in what could be a relatively quick transfer.

Stockholm has been touting the possibility of sending the Gripen JAS39 to Ukraine for several months now, but has made any decision on this contingent upon the country’s accession to NATO.

Manufacturer Saab is moving in lockstep with government, executives said here at the Singapore Airshow.

“We are fully aligned with what has been put forward by the Swedish government on this matter – we also continue to work to support and work with our Hungarian partners in the best way we can,” Mikael Franzén, chief marketing officer at Saab told Defense News.

“We expect that if such a decision was granted approval by the Swedish government, it would be a fairly rapid process to send the aircraft to Ukraine. We are moving in the right direction currently,” he added.

What was expected to be a rather quick process of admitting the Nordic state into the military alliance has turned to be an 18-month ordeal, now delayed by Hungary, which has yet to ratify the protocol for its accession.

A senior member of the country’s ruling party told local media this week that the Hungarian parliament could vote as early as Feb. 26 on the issue, and the government has indicated its intention to vote in favor of Sweden’s entry.

I think Ukraine is already switching to using FPV drones instead of artillery
FPV drone range is quite limited compared to artillery, and Ukraine is at a even bigger disadvantage in this department (7:1 vs 5:1 in artillery).

This was a Reuter's video published yesterday. Listen to the latest AFU number at 01:36. They're saying the Ukrainian military is at 800K.

Think about it. Ukranian officials said they had 1.1 million strong army in September 2022. Nobody was demobilized during the war and Ukraine had been constantly conscripting men into service in the last year. Just last month they wanted to draft another 500K just to replace losses and give rotation to some units.

Some of you really need to lay off the "10:1 kill ratio" Kool-Aid.
