Also, why did Russia not invade Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania before invading Ukraine? A much easier win.

In 2000 th, if we don't take mainstream mass media bullshit...in NATO Ukraine had been considered as strategic weapons supplier for Russian Federation.
Why?
Because in 1999 th Ukraine had supplied Russian Federation with strategic bombers and 575 long range cruise missiles.
It wasn't 1994 th deal at all.
Ofc Ukr does have their own history version like Russia too.
Ukraine also not only had rented naval base for russia, also had conducted joint exercises with Russia how to defeat supposed bad west invasion in matushka.

Russian Federation had breached agreement with NATO not informing them about large scale military activities and / or exercises.

Therefore months after this 24.02.2022 stuff NATO had considered Russia as not cooperative partner and cos endless therats to cut off contracted supplies and their supposed nukes etc..as long term threat for europe and world.

After Russia had started to use iranian engineers and drones and Iranian drones clones ...western europe agreed that Russia is long term existential threat for security...
