But drones and missiles are not the same now, are they? How much death and destruction did Russia achieve with a missile strike in Kiev compared to Ukraine's drone strike in Moscow?
You don't think Zelensky should take this conflict to the next level and hit Moscow with a Neptune missile?
What damage can this new
modified Ukrainian Neptune missile cause?
. Warhead: 330 lb (150 kg)
. Range: 600 miles (970 Km)
. Casualty rate in an urban center (Moscow): 22,171
A SRBM (short-range ballistic missile) with an average of 540kg HE payload would create an explosive damage radius of up to 1.06km (0.6 miles). In an urban center there could be up to 77,600 casualties in the affected area. Roughly a 3.5 ratio to the Neptune missile. So, if one Neptune missile gets through Moscow's air defense system, a casualty rate of roughly 22,000 dead civilians is expected. Is this what Zelensky is thinking of doing with these missiles? I would say that in a way Ukraine has now gained its "nuclear" capabilities back. All Ukrainian nukes went back to Russia after 1991. People crying about how Ukraine lost its nuclear arsenal to Russia. They now have the Neptune missile. About 130 units. Why not use it? What could possibly go wrong? Also, how does Europe and the US now feel about this missile? The British Storm Shadow missile only has a 250 km range.
