Russian economy is a lot of misdirection. The laws of economics don't magically vanish because President Putin tells his bankers something or wills it. Russia tells IMF their numbers. I'd trust those numbers the same way I'd trust tea handed to me by President Putin.

Don't get me wrong Nabiullina has done a masterful job and Russia has got around the sanctions quite well but eventually every lever that could be pulled runs out and you have to show your hand. If Trump simply holds steady, it will happen a lot sooner than we think is possible.

You are missing the point. My reference was to Ukraine's Neptune missile. How many Russian civilians can it kill in Moscow with one strike? Actually, why isn't Zelensky launching those missiles into the Kremlin and trying to kill Putin?

As for West regardless from politicians and countries Ukraine doesn't mean any big game.
West does want to have ceasefire and to have some kind of poor buffer living in dreams and debts and empty promises..ofc for Ukr is different situation.
