Trump seems completely out of depth in foreign policy. His strong armed tactics that might have worked in real estate and American business's doesn't work with dictators like Putin and leaders literally fighting for their Country's existence.

Russia needs ALL of Ukraine to achieve its goals and Russia no longer has the manpower to occupy and pacify a hostile nation. The numbers just aren't there for them to do so. YES, Ukrainians are dying, but whose fault is that? Pres. Zelenskyy for leading his nation or Putin's for attacking just because he could?

Let's not forget that Russians are dying also... IN DROVES. It will always be harder on the defender vs. the attacker.
Ukraine has a weak hand, but that doesn't necessarily mean it's a losing one. They just have to play smart and have been doing so.

BTW maybe good real long term peace solution might be to negotiate to turn western Ukraine into Chinatown, these 5 oblastjs for Putin and life will be happy.

No, Russia does not need all of Ukraine. It currently has taken over 20% of the country and may end up taking 30% to 40% by the time it is all said and done. Ukraine does not have the manpower to fight this war for another year.

(Ukraine has over 900,000 deployed and nearly 2 million in reserve. They haven't even started conscripting people under 25, their military is larger today than when the war started)
