International Russia/Ukraine Megathread V15

Economically more vise for European countries might be to produce their own weapons and purchase from Iran, North Korea, Pakistan, India etc.
Obviously U.S weapons are purchased mainly cos political reasons but if there anglo saxonians might just create mesh and weasel out lying 24/7/365 then ofc question is big especially cos high prices U.S companies are asking for weapons + it is easy to see that they are pro Kremlin oriented. Dreaming about Kurds No2 somewhere.

Russo-Nork attack wave attacks repelled.

Donkey-Logistics! <lol>

The pilots and ground crews were already trained in France, they have been spotted over Ukraine over the last week.
Spotted over Ukraine doing what exactly. Practicing take-off and landing maneuvers?
Those pilots went through a short and fast version of training. This would make them average pilots both with the Mirage and the F-16. I want to know if these guys can evade ground to air missiles and air-to-air missiles from Russian fighters. Do you know how long it takes to be this kind of pilot on an F-18?

It's called LOSING THE WAR just like @San Marino and I predicted it would happen. Russia won and NATO lost this proxy war.
It came after Trump's administration poured cold water on Ukraine's goals of reclaiming all its territory and pushing to join NATO, with defence secretary Pete Hegseth telling allies that the U.S. was no longer 'primarily focused' on Europe.

Trump's announcement that he planned to begin talks with Russia on Wednesday stunned Ukraine and European allies - several of whom openly called his strategy into question.

Zelensky said it was 'not very pleasant' that Trump had called Putin first before speaking to him, adding the US president had said he wanted to speak to both leaders together.

European fury over Trump's Ukraine peace talks

Well, let's not underestimate Trump's greed. He WANTS those rare Earth metals in Ukraine, and he knows he won't be able to touch them if Russian troops are on top of them. I HOPE his greed and Ukraine's freedom will intersect.
Let us not forget that Biden was the one that gave Putin the 'green light' to invade Ukraine. A 'minor' incursion into Ukraine? Define minor. Do I need to post the video - again?

The REEs (Rare Earth Elements) is something Trump (and the United States) want in return for giving billions for free to Ukraine. It has nothing to do with Trump 'greed.' REEs can be found in other parts of the world.

Chernobyl isn't nuclear power plant anymore.
No, but it is still radioactive. There is a European team at the location (living at the location) monitoring and controlling the plant since the new dome (NSC) was added in 2016. Radiation levels can still climb and get out of control.

Everybody forgot how Ukraine kicked Russian ass before the west started to send support.
Ah, Ukraine received western military support after the Russian invasion of Crimea in 2014. So, those boys were fully backed by western weaponry by 2022. Russia did not expect the pushback it received from Ukraine at the start of the conflict in 2022. They thought it would be like 2014.

That is the way it should have been since 1992.
NATO should have dissolved in 1992 after the collapse of the Soviet Union in December 1991.
European countries should build up their militaries and not rely on the United States. This conflict in Ukraine is a European problem. US nuclear missiles in Ukraine was never an option for Russia. Just like Soviet nuclear missiles in Cuba was never an option for the US.
Russia invading Georgia and Ukraine show us that the “Soviet” mentality didn’t die. So NATO needed to remain a thing.

I have no doubts in my mind that Poland would have been assaulted too if it weren’t for NATO.

Nah, far from it. The EU will support Ukraine and Ukraine will continue to fight. For Russia to win, they need the entirety of Ukraine and they're on track to achieve that in 100 years.
I don't think Russia wants the entirety of Ukraine. They might have thought about it and tried it but decided it would be too big of a task and cause entirely too much pushback from Europe and the United States. Russia still wants to work with Europe and the United States. Russia wants the Eastern portion of Ukraine, and they have that. They would like to see a regime change and that may still happen. I still think that that initial Northern attack into Ukraine (Kiev) was to cause a split in the Ukrainian forces and weaken the Eastern front. Russia achieved that. Had Trump been president, this conflict would have never started. Trump would have guaranteed Putin that Ukraine would not join NATO.

You're missing the point. Those people remember what it was like under Russian control.
France was never under Soviet control.
The Poles remember what it was like and that is why they don't want to get involved and go through that again.

Not happening

Poland and france physically cant send enough people to stop the advance due to militaries being too small
If it came down to it, I don’t think the EU has the stomach to send boots in large numbers. For many reasons, including like you have said due to militaries being too small. Most of the EU countries are barely starting to realize and few have started implement the procedures necessary to begin building up.

But I could see the EU agreeing to continue to arm Ukraine with weapons, aid and finances to keep the war going.

On the condition that Ukraine drops it’s conscription age from 25 to 18.. EU will supply the weapons and finances well Ukraine provides the bodies…

It’s over.
Well, not quite.
Ukraine will keep 80% of its country and independent. It will not be part of NATO. Both sides will win and lose on different issues. The world focus is now on Israel, Iran, and the Middle East.

BTW interesting stuff is that Ukr had mandatory conscription service for 18-19 y.o guys during peacetime.
In 1979-1989 they had even busification for Afganistan service. Conscripts. Ofc busification was in rare cases and still had happened. Didn't had arrived in time according to paper issued? Busik...court.

Didn't a bunch of soldiers early on in the war get radiation poisoning from digging up the ground in the forest surrounding Chernobyl?
Before the war started in 2022, the tourism business in Chernobyl was booming. Trees are growing and the wildlife is back. There has been very little genetic modification due to the disaster.
