If about 63 y.o ....russian military had hired such age specialists only IF ...they had high level skills and wasn't possible to hire younger specialists....and ofc this wasn't for trenches, mainly technical specialists with very good education and decades of succesful experience under belt.... really serious uncles.
Rus military also didn't had allowed persons with criminal record or foreigners....it was taboo.

Putin also is offering not only premial bonuses for contract signing paid from Federal Budget, he also had orderd regions and cities to pay additional bonuses from regional and municipal budgets....
This is not only just such reality. Putin is offering russian citizenship for foreigners who had signed contract for small special operation. Thus far approx 12 000 foreigners already get russian citizenship because they had signed for small special operation in Ukraine....
Putin now is offering russian citizenship for immigrants located in russia IF they will sign for small special operation in Ukraine and will do job for this in Ukraine.

The U.S. couldn't side with Russia even if they wanted to. Putin sees the world strictly in Cold War-era "East" and "West" terms, he'd never provide a reliable ally to anyone that he considers to be a Western nation. He has only gotten worse at this in his old age.
The only way any sort of meaningful diplomacy occurs between Russia and the West, is when these old dinosaurs get out of the way. Unfortunately though, they are most likely going to prop up successors that continue their legacy.
I really don't know how someone is dreaming to end this war quickly. West isn't willing to increase support for Ukr and Putin does see this reality.
About finances and economy Putin doesn't cares at all.
He already had proved that for him doesn't makes sense is 1 USD $ worth 88 roubles or 100 roubles, is inflation 5%, 8.5% or more than 10%.... is base key interest rate 5% or 21%.
