What is the civilian death toll in Gaza?

For the life of me I can't understand why so many Republicans think looking piss weak in the face of an emerging China is a good idea.

Sucks for Taiwan.
They just flat out don't give a shit. All they care about is throwing wrenches into every gear while virtue signaling to various plank issues. Ukraine slowly became a "lib vs con" issue and now it's getting used same as the others

To put some context on this.

Gaza has 2 million people, Ukraine has 20 times that. Gaza lost those people in 2 months. Ukraine lost them in 2 years. Also Gazas numbers are bout to baloon due to lack of sanitation. Right now the numbers are just military killings whether they be bombs or brutality.

So basically he’s trying to buy their silence ?
True but as President he is fully in his rights to point this out as it has been used tons of times before on Democrats to get in line. George Bush would regularly use it to get Democrats inline. Nothing scares Republicans or Democrats more then the idea of thousands of jobs being lost in their district or state.

That is true and all politicians and political players do that to win buyin and votes

Did they put a map of the Russian-controlled territoy of Ukraine in that video?

Think that's mainly because of a couple of reasons:

-the big difference in the nature of the fight. The war in Ukraine is largely a conventional army vs conventional army. (with some obvious exceptions)
While the war in Gaza is an conventional force vs insurgents/terrorists who attempt, and succeed, to use the civilian populations as human shields in an effort to maximize civilian casualties and thus bad PR for Israel

-The official number of civilian deaths in Ukraine is likely alot higher than the official number. What the true number is is a bit of a mistery, but just looking at the number from the siege of mariupol:
UN:1348 Russian: 3K+ Ukrainian 30K+

-The "official" number from Gaza is coming from Hamas itself (even the UN doesn't deny this). And for the record, i don't think anyone can blame the UN as an organisation for having to go along with it. I doubt they get to choose.
The weird thing is, 10.000 casualties, all civilian ofcourse, not more than a few confirmed Hamas terrorists have been killed. You're free to believe what you want ofcourse.
To put it mildly that number should be taken with a grain of salt.

That doesn't mean there isn't a tragedy going on for civilians in Gaza ofcourse, they are living in a hell on earth and alot of innocent people are dying.

Russian missile strikes in eastern Ukraine tear through buildings and bury families in rubble

KYIV, Ukraine (AP) — Russian missiles tore through apartment buildings in eastern Ukraine’s Donetsk region, local officials said Thursday, killing at least one person and burying families under rubble as the Kremlin’s forces continued to pound the fiercely contested area with long-range weapons.

Russian military units simultaneously launched six S-300 missiles toward the Donetsk region during the night, according to Ukrainian Internal Affairs Minister Ihor Klymenko. Another two were fired separately in the same area, the Ukrainian air force said.

The simultaneous missile strikes hit three Donetsk cities — Pokrovsk, Novohrodivka and Myrnohrad, Klymenko said. The cities lie 25-40 kilometers (15-25 miles) from the front line.

The battlefield has seen few major changes in recent months. A Ukrainian counteroffensive that started in June dented deep Russian defenses in some areas but has failed to change the complexion of the 22-month war.

Moscow has held firm in most of the areas it occupies while using the long-range weapons to inflict damage on Ukraine, including civilian areas.

Emergency workers pulled the body of a 62-year-old man from the wreckage of a destroyed multi-story building in Novohrodivka. Four more people may be under the rubble, including a child, authorities said.

In Pokrovsk, the strikes destroyed a multi-story building, nine houses, a police office and cars. Emergency crews helped rescue a man with a 6-month-old baby, covered in blood, in his hands, officials said.

The head of the city administration, Serhii Dobriak, said it was fourth time Pokrovsk came under attack in the past month.

“They are striking the city center, the houses,” he said. “They are just destroying the civilian population.”

He urged people to evacuate because “the intensity of strikes is increasing.”

All three of the targeted cities are close to Avdiivka, a city where a fierce battle has taken place in recent months.

Avdiivka is a gateway to parts of the Donetsk region still under Ukrainian control.

Ukrainian officials said recently that Russian forces have ramped up attacks in eastern Ukraine in an attempt to gain ground near Avdiivka and around Bakhmut, another key front-line city.

In southern Ukraine, Russian forces shelled residential areas in the Kherson region, damaging critical infrastructure and a school, the office of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said. One person was killed, the office said.

Ambulance paramedics came under fire in the village of Kindiika, where a doctor was wounded on Wednesday evening, according to the president’s office. In Darivka, another Kherson region village, four people were injured as 10 houses, a hospital and a kindergarten were damaged during the night, the office said.

Zelenskyy on Thursday visited troops in Kupiansk, an area of fighting in the northeastern Kharkiv region.

“I know that every day you are losing your close people, your war buddies,” he told soldiers, according to a video posted on his Telegram channel. “You should know that everyone is aware that this is the highest price. That’s why I ask you to take care of yourselves.”

It was the Ukrainian leader’s second straight day of touring battle areas across the country. On Wednesday he visited cities in southern Ukraine.

He has frequently made such visits during the war as he tries to keep up morale.

Actually he is correct and aid to Ukraine had increased number of jobs and contracts in U.S.

Even the same tanks: order from Poland is magnitude higher than expenses to deliver Ukr outdated export version allowed for no NATO countries to purchase.

Also majority of weapons and ammunition supplied by United States were already scheduled to be replaced and....even more, a lot from this stuff should had been utilized ( decommissioned and destroyed ) at expense paid by taxpayers anyway, regardless had been there war in Ukraine or NO. Also replacement costs anyway had been scheduled to be paid by taxpayers even before war in Ukraine.
A lot from equipment and ammunition Ukraine had get was ....writen off very old stuff, especially U.S provided ammunition and equipment....

If course in some cases supplies were new stuff, like switchblade and some guided shells.
Anti radar missiles U.S had supplied were mainly manufactured in 1980 ies stuff anyway long ago scheduled to be replaced with new, fresh and more modern missiles.
If old stuff still is working on Russia, then for U.S even better: free space in warehouses and just transport costs, without $ paid for utilisation.
