WW3 is more dangerous than climate change IF it happens. It's either 0% and is irelevant or 100% and kills us all. There is no in between. It's Schrodingers Cat. The consequences of climate change are locked in for decades and inevitable no policy decisions made today will mitigate those consequences for decades. There's nothing speculative about climate change.

The pic from the casing after the strike had a manufacture date of 1996. That means a projectile from 1996 penetrated the modern air defense of Russia.

Explain to me how you envision this conflict escalating to WW3? Do you mean we're risking Putin launching enough nukes to create a Nuclear Holocaust? Well you've got me there that would be worse.

I'm gonna go ahead and guess that Ukraine + Israel + Taiwan magically becomes WW3 in their heads, despite the links between the 3 events being tenuous at best.
I don't think we genuinely need to worry until some nation tries to become outright Imperialist and conquer numerous countries in quick succession.
Funnily enough, Russia was the most likely nation to try it with a sweep across Europe, and those who pretend they're scared of WW3 tend to support Russia....
Hard to make it up, really.

well i mean the non cluster rounds
If you have task to damage combat aircraft and radars cluster rounds are better than monoblock rounds.
Also this oldest ATACMS version does have huge advantage ( besides short range ); warhead is 560 kg and with 950 bomblets. This is very important.
Also...these oldest models does have just inertial guidance therefore jamming stations against them are useless. And Russia had installed these and a lot of them....
Therefore it was like doctor had prescribed best tool for said task.
BTW despite old model it might create more damage than more modern ATACMS missiles for soft dispressed targets due to high number of bomblets in warhead....
For stuff like Crimean bridge such warhead is useless, for airfield with aircraft ....very beautiful procedures of deNazifiaction might be done....
Crimean bridge needs multiple and large monoblock type warheads impacting it....
For example maybe with some 3-5 SCUD missiles IF landed might had been enough.

Well, I agree that France a bit sucks.
Spain doesn't have much to gave for ground forces, cos these weren't their priority cos their neighbours are Andora, France and Portugal....
Turkey is attempting to do all the best in order to sit on 3 chairs : western world and BIC + yeah...Russia and Kremlin's dreams.
Inflation in Turkey is very high, they are crude oil etc importers and harvest was really low

So here for technical reasons alone it is stuff that might get lesser support than Abrams or Leopard....

France was reluctant to supply Ukraine while after Russia had started to use Iranian drones situation changed.
Some from their decision makers might be more willing to provide aid in form of weapons and ammunition and aren't happy when money is asked.
Ukraine is doing all wrong when they are talking with French officials about money they will need for reconstruction and how fast they want to get in EU.

It is all based on pussy weak electorate.
U.S had 2 real proxy wars vs both China and vs USSR. ( with Ukraine too btw ,) and Russia today isn't Warshaw block + Ukraine and Russia etc.
It is so easy to see how Western world and China had sold de facto Ukraine to russia.
Unlimited friendship with China, relocation of embassies employees to Lvov and navy ships from Black Sea....
And Ukraine still were Kurds No2 living in dreams without accepting sellers Realpolitik...reality.
