Fair enough brother. I honestly have no favorites in the Ukraine / Russia War. Putin is a bastard and Ukraine is corrupt as the day is long.... also has Nazis, real ones. I don't want to see Russia take their land, but I don't want to fund a meat grinder, so the Energy Solution is simple, but why we are not doing it should make us all ask questions.

What's worse is that Europe had clean nuclear energy plants and they started closing them in favor of Russian gas...you can't make this shit up...

I am no fan of Russia. I also know that we'd never stand for Mexico or Canada to be Russia aligned. I watched the video, heard the leader of NATO say it in his own words, then I heard the propaganda machine saying exactly the opposite of the truth.

We could end this war in months without spending on military by going full blast on energy production and exportation. If we invested in new refineries, pipelines, and went full blast on natural gas and oil production, all the while building more nuclear plants so we didn't need the fossils ourselves, we could end Russia's ability to wage war. Over 80% of their economy is dependent on Oil and Gas and if we dump the prices through our announcement of an all in Energy policy, the speculators we dump the price of oil tomorrow. Russia would wilt.

We are putting this war raging on over an aggressive Energy Policy? Why?

Building all that would take a lot longer than months.
But yes, oil is what fuels Russia war machine and low oil prices would defeat them in the long run.

Climate Change is a real thing. Maybe there will never be enough international support to stop the tipping point but we don't have to accelerate a global disaster. Especially when we don't know what effect it would have on our fertile green plains.

Oldest version pros are also heavy 560 kg warhead + inertial guidance only ( so GPS jamming can't help against these )...+ anyway scheduled to be replaced so sending saved utilisation expenses.....

What you're talking about would cost trillions and require decades. Small projects aren't economically viable because of American PPP. To build a cost effective refinery in the west we need to go big and that is a 5-15 BILLION dollar investment and a 3-8 year project.

ONE refinery.


Sanctions on the other hand are already decreasing profitability of Russian energy.

Europe fueled Russian profits at the start of the war because they are rich, were shitting bricks and bought everything in sight. And Russia was their energy dealer.

What's happening now is Russia is selling to China, India, Pakistan and they have Russia over a barrel (the puns make themselves here) and are getting those hydrocarbons cheap as chips.

Which frees up hydrocarbons that were sent to those countries for Europe to buy. Process takes time but it's predominately Europe that eats the cost.

Nuclear has two flaws.

It costs a fortune to set it up and takes forever.

Germany had already built the things! Once you get past that initial investment cost nuclear is basically the best energy source in every conceivable aspect.

And they just threw it away.
