Poland's president calls sensational announcement a misunderstanding Polish President Andrzej Duda said the Polish prime minister was misunderstood when he apparently said on Polish television that Poland would not send any more weapons to Ukraine. It writes the news agency AFP. Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki's "words were interpreted in the worst possible way... In my opinion, the Prime Minister meant that we will not transfer the new weapons that we are currently buying while modernizing the Polish army," Duda told Polish TV channel TVN24. Mateusz Morawiecki justified the ceasefire ban by saying that the country would now focus on its own defence.

I think you are probably right, but it could get very dangerous for the pilots. I read about this when it happened:

https://www.google.com/amp/s/londonpolitica.com/euroasia/how-do-nato-and-the-west-compare-with-chinese-and-russian-air-to-air-technology?format=amp

But the attack helicopters would definitely go away. It seems their max range to engage tanks and the like is 5-6 miles.

How is it that Russia / China has better technology in this area - not prioritized by the US? If not, why not?

I'm not sure, but from what I hear the Felon shoots the newest Russian air to air missile, and I don't think our latest stuff will be sent to Ukraine. I'd ask @GhostZ06 regarding air to air missile specs, he knows a lot.

Inb4 @San Marino tries to convince us this is all a horrible idea and they should abandon their current offensive strategy for a massive airborne drop, or just concede the initiative entirely to the Russians for.... reasons.
They have this war won! The Russians have been beaten. o_O Ukraine can now rest in peace.
I've been posting on this issue, with maps. Where have you been? Compare this map from yesterday and tell me how much it has changed in two weeks. 6 miles South. Man, that is impressive. Another 44,825 mi² to go. They will have that conquered by next week. They were doing so much better in the North. What happened? Read the details here Mr. history major. Do you have a life outside this thread?

It's been explained to you ad nauseam that wars don't actually work like a board game, but I guess there's no convincing you otherwise.

Maybe like a video game? Is that how you see it? No, wars don't work like that either.

<{walkerwhut}>

You really couldn't figure out that it's probably because her family aren't there? My father in law was the last one there and he left a month before the war started and obviously hasn't been back.
You'll get better reasoning from talking with a box of rocks. Yeah, he is stupid.

Your trying to explain this stuff someone that had to be told what the difference between a km and a square km was, just a few weeks ago.
I wouldn't get my hopes up about him understanding anything too complicated,
Hence we get to deal with wonderful statements like, "the Allies did a big para jump on D-day that kinda worked, so it's the only way Ukraine will win", or "More people live in Russia, so they can't lose"

I'm slowly accepting the fact that this might truly be the depth of his intelligence, instead of him beeing a really dedicated troll.

On topic:
Aaaand stil no ATACMS for now:

Is that how you see it?
Well you seem to think Ukraine needs to physically fight to occupy every single square mile of their country. Like, there's a Russian soldier standing across the entire landscape shoulder to shoulder, back to front. Like it's Risk and they have to go through every single space on the board. It's totally ridiculous, but you seem stuck thinking this way for some god forsaken reason.

Yes and no....Russia probably does to an extent. China is hard to say, Chinese missiles are pretty poopy. Hell they're one nation that needs an has operated interceptor style aircraft.

https://www.eglin.af.mil/News/Artic...t-amraam-variant-completes-final-test-firing/

However we did really screw the pooch when it comes to effective ultra long range missiles. Well the navy did by canceling the replacement to the aim-54 an getting rid of the F-14 with out a effective replacement, which gutted they're long range fleet defense...basically non-existent. But aim-260, LREW which will be a 2 stage A2A missile will basically make most Russian and Chinese missiles jokes.
