Interesting... I wonder how much will be owned by Ukrainians even with a Ukrainian victory .

Zelensky huddles with Wall Street CEOs and business leaders to discuss rebuilding Ukraine
From CNN's Matt Egan

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky met Wednesday evening with Wall Street CEOs and business power players to discuss efforts to rebuild his war-torn country and its economy, a person familiar with the matter told CNN.

The roundtable, convened by JPMorgan Chase, included former Google CEO Eric Schmidt, billionaire Mike Bloomberg, New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft, hedge fund billionaire Bill Ackman, former US Secretary of State Henry Kissinger and billionaire Barry Sternlicht, the source said.

The focus of Wednesday’s gathering, held in Midtown Manhattan, was to discuss ways to support and invest in the reconstruction of Ukraine, the source told CNN.

The meeting, first reported by Fox Business, was said to be productive and lasted longer than expected, though it’s not immediately clear if it resulted in any firm commitments from the business leaders.

In February, JPMorgan sent a delegation to Kyiv to brief Zelensky on options to stabilize Ukraine’s beleaguered economy and help the country access the capital required to rebuild it. Ukrainian officials signed a memorandum of understanding with JPMorgan to help create a roadmap for reconstruction.

Have to change x.com to twitter.com because Musk is a moron.

Musk wasn't such a moron when he helped Ukraine with Starlink satellite internet service now was he?
Now everyone seems to hate him.
Are you translating Portuguese to English? Want me to do it for you?
Never mind.
Lula was a corrupt president, went to prison, became president again. He could barely read and write when he 1st ran for office.
Biden is corrupt.
Zelensky is corrupt.
Basically 3 idiots shaking hands and talking shit. Nothing worth translating.
. Joe Biden collides with flagpole and leaves stage without Brazilian president in gaffe filled incident (msn.com)

I really don't see that he has any choice, unfortunately. Ukraine was badly mismanaged and looted for decades before Zelensky came along. Where else can they get the money?

Well, the war is still going on so...
Figured everyone would have their side by now. I think I've mentioned to you that I have nore stake in this than anybody else here having a Ukrainian wife whose house has now heen bombed twice abd flooded once, and even I'm pretty indifferent at this point

Going to be interesting how the f-16 program evolves.

There's no supply or production issues for the most operated fighter jet in the world. I don't know how many f-16 missiles are in storage around the world but it's basically a bottomless pit.

By the time F-16's are in action, it will be next year. They're just starting to train on them. That's way too far down the line for it to make any difference right now.

It's critical that Ukraine makes some substantial gains in the next month before the cold sets in or military aid might dry up. If that happens, they're fucked.

The war is not even over and Zelensky is talking about rebuilding the country? Does he think he is going to win this conflict?
The Clintons have huge plans for raising money and investing in Ukraine (if it wins of course) with a large percentage going to their pockets.
So, if Russia wins, no one gives two-shits about helping Ukrainian civilians rebuild their lives? A truly compassionate bunch. It is not about the Ukrainian people; it is about who wins the war. What hypocrisy.

You do you homie.

If Russia wins, there will be no need for western help in reconstruction.

Because then it will be rebuilding Russian territory, and no financial help will be necessary because sanctions don't work and the ruble is stronger than ever.

Spelled Bakhmut. It is only a city. Conquering a city does not equate to winning a war. Ukraine still has to conquer 44,825 sq mi of ground from Russia. I don't see it happening. Not with the size of their current Army. Where is the Ukrainian Air Force in the middle of all this?

They don't have to conquer it inch by inch like a board game. lmao It's about degrading capability of the Russian forces in Ukraine, which we are seeing right now in Bahkmut. They just have to convince the Russians that are there to leave. I don't believe many of them want to be there to begin with, so convincing them to leave will likely be much easier than convincing Ukrainians to give up their homeland.

Just a few km south more between now and literally as long as they want to take, they'll be in range of the main logistics routes supplying Russian forces in Crimea. We saw what happened when this happened in Kyiv, Kharkiv, and Kherson already. It doesn't matter how many men you have at the front if none of them have ammo, supporting artillery, gasoline or food.

The Ukrainian air force is launching cruise missiles that just destroyed billions of dollars in advanced naval vessels and anti aircraft systems in Crimea. Keep in mind these ships that were targeted in Crimea are the very ships that would be supplying Crimea once the land routes become compromised. And within a few months time they'll have dozens more F-16 with standoff range that far surpasses anything Russia is currently flying in Ukraine.

Other posters in here have suggested that the F-16 would prevent the Russians from using their glide bombs, the kind of JDAM they've jury rigged to deliver old 500kg dumb into Ukranian lines from their aircraft. Others have suggested they'll mostly be used to fire ballistic missiles from standoff range and not get to close to Russian air defenses. It seems like the former would be much more helpful... and if true could possibly turn the tide. Idk how to judge if it's true or not.

Military aid is not drying up anytime soon. This is Russian fan fiction that this is a possibility. Even Germany has plans to continue funding until 2027.

So multiple times longer than the conflict has already lasted, and Ukraine is currently just a few km from their main objective.

Poland have said they won't supply Ukraine over grain deal issues.

They seem to be unhappy about Ukrainian grain undermining prices in central Europe.

How long it lasts for, I don't know.

IMO just getting in artillery range of the main road to Crimea won't do much. You can't park your artillery pieces right on the front line- and just lobbing occasional shells won't do much either. Trucks move and unless the road becomes unusable or there is so much fire that they don't dare drive on it its not going to make a difference. If they were ten miles away? Maybe. Not just at the edge of range though. Just my opinion.

Both of these are true, the F-16 as old as it is, still has an incredibly advanced radar system that allows equipping not just long range ballistics missiles, but air to air missiles with similar ranges. (150km+)

They'll be able to pick off Russian aircraft from well within Ukrainian airspace and force Russia's "aerial" frontline back even further. Most importantly the Ka-52s and other choppers that hinder their ability to clear defenses and minefields.

Their old MiGs (however few they have) I'm assuming can't do this because the radar sucks?
