Since we were recently on that topic..

See some news Ukraine reports to have killed a Russian colonel near Andriivka (Bakhmut). Seems to have been confirmed by DPR officials as well.

Colonel Andrei Kondrashkin was the commander of airborne troops being sent in to try to save the 72nd MRB from being completely overrun. The situation around Bakhmut is very precarious as the Russian troops there are very war weary from months of constant fighting and no rotation.

Russia orders nearly a quarter of a million death certificates.
 
The relationships bewtween Poland and Ukraine maybe are going closer and closer to 404 IF rumours that NATO is thinking about Ukr Leopard tanks repair in Lithuania are truth.
& Lithuania doesn't have experience to repair these tanks.
Their niche obiviously is self propelled howitzers and radioelectronic equipment repairs.
So where they will get technicians?
Quick solution is only to hire polish or/ and german technicians....
 
Another reason might be that they are statisfied about quick self propelled howitzers repairs Lithuania always had provided.
 
Ukr maybe will feel more confident if Norway finally will approwe supposed long term support package. Proposal is 1,5 b EUR equivalent " portion " each year 5 years in row.

Yes, they doesn't do rotations in this area but are sending in reinforcments.

From one point it is tragic stuff. Poor russians brainwashed during centuries + especially last 100 years.
Rich ppl kids usually doesn't serve or if serve, then as enlisted officers with military uni type education and more often in headquarters in Moscow. (This is valid also for Ukraine. ).
 
About Ukraine there too always had been claims in some areas from territorial defense guys: sometimes they did rotations for army but local territorial defense lads didn't had any rotation.
 
From one point here might be some reasons IF local is exactly from this city or village: locals does knows their area pretty well and therefore might hide easier, navigate without modern nav tools and even without maps in their area.

Seems like you just read a title and are left stunned and full of questions time and time again.
*sigh*
I'll do a TLDR just for you;
-Ukraine air defense shot a missile at a Russian target (the guys that have been bombing Ukraine for 1.5 years now).
-Missile malfunctioned, crashed into the market.

It does make a great case for providing them with more aid tho, since Russia is lobbig drones/missiles at them daily, they are forced to defend themselves with the old Soviet air defense systems they have.
If we provided them with more modern equipment there'd be alot less failures like this.
I hope Biden (your commander in chief) provides them with it.

I don't doubt at all because IF losses weren't high they already had physically controlled all oblastjs by 100% from these Putin on paper already had incorporated in russia.
Because then Putin had been happy and nice, generous premiums for officers.
