I think relying on attrition isn't a good strategy. I think the retreat into claims of winning the attrition battle (by both sides) are an attempt to cover for the fact that ww2 style advances may no longer be possible with this technology.
There is a lot of stuff that does work very well even from Napoleon wars era, not only from WW1 and WW2 and sorry, it still does work in some cases with a glance...

Also old methods is very difficult to counter with modern ECM and radioelectronic warfare tools.

What stuff from Napoleon wars era?
In general Napoleon had disatvantage in cannons number but they had invested in calculations and to build cannons with longer range and better precision.
Outcome was that Napoleon had burned Moscow. Despite had disadvantage in cannons number he might had used.

In modern days it is Excalibur etc ....however stuff really impossible to suppress with any ECM and jamming are RAP artillery rounds + they are considerably cheaper than GPS guided stuff and laser guided stuff.... also might achieve not lesser range for low real price to produce stuff.

There is one thing ofc that Napoleon unlike damn a lot of other warlords was de facto real artillery officer with proper training.
It isn't Utkin with GRU background, manager in Progozin, KGB rat in Putin or debiloid Hitler etc idiots.
Hitler at least most likely was really capable for example to manage some unit with couple of machine guns etc.
Bonapart was real commisioned artillery officer with real level Surovikin and Gerasimov can't dream about.

One thing IMHO in reality lucky for Ukr was when Russia started use Iranian drones.
Before this a lot of european countries had delayed support and had scheduled symbolic aid + didn't even talked about possible weapons supplies ukr now is getting.
Cos they get in their lazy and money hungry brains that future ruSSian world might be Belarus+ Iran + Russia + North Korea and for obivious reasons bakced by Assad and then... this future core of superempire will negotiate with China.:D how to create new " multi polar :D:p world ".

This french - italian SAMP-T is very good stuff. ;):).
Most likely system is more capable than advertised tech specifications.

Ford PowerStroke bois feeling something in their pants right about now!

Obviously a complete invasion is a more urgent issue than annexing Crimea and supporting a proxy war in Donbas. Ukraine's armed forces weren't even in a position to take advantage of military aid at that point either.

Ukrainian armed forces barely existed in early 2014.

I been keeping track of the number of American and Japanese made trucks on the battlefield and Ford as well as Dodge seem to be holding a lead over Chevy and Toyota with Nissan well behind. I own a Chevy Silverado Chevy needs to up its game. ha ha New Ford ad:Battlefield tested.

Ah yeah, the mismanagement of real incomes going up 500% and life expectancy going up by a decade is what incompetence looks like. You know there is a reason he has stayed popular in Russia.

Where are you seeing those numbers? Russia used to be seen as a major world power, and it's now a miserable backwater. That's without even getting to the idiocy of the invasion. If Russia is the best case for a rightist dictatorship, that's a great argument for liberalism.

It's also kind of ignoring the fact that the only reason for Russia's growth during the period was because of the temporarily thawed relation with the liberal west. Western business came in and along with them specialists that revitalized and improved their resource extraction exponentially. Especially in the oil and gas industries, but not limited to.

The brain drain during the war will be epic one of the lead engineers on Russia's Tupolev Tu-160 with documentation and engineering plans at the southern boarder in the US. Putin will be feeling the doctors, scientists, engineers physicist who all left during the early part of Russian war.

"
A Russian military bomber engineer drove up to the U.S. Southwest border in late December, asking for asylum and offering to reveal some of Russia’s most closely guarded military secrets, according to an unclassified Customs and Border Protection report obtained by Yahoo News.

The man and his family arrived in an armored SUV and asked to be admitted into the U.S. because he feared persecution for participating in anti-Putin protests in support of Alexei Navalny, an imprisoned Russian dissident. He then told CBP officials that he had information wanted by the U.S. government.

He said he was a civil engineer and that “his past employment had included working ... from 2018 to 2021 in the making of a particular type of military airplane at the Tupolev aircraft production facility in the city of Kazan in west-central Russia,” according to a Jan. 11 unclassified CBP report obtained by Yahoo News.

“He described the aircraft type as ‘an attack jet’ and said it ‘was called White Swan-TU160, the largest military aircraft.’”"

Good stuff , Putlers war has screwed Russia in so many ways it’s not even funny. As the war continues to get worse the silent mobilization will be going on and people either dying or fleeing the country will continue.

All this " russia's " economy growth and supposedly self sustainability are owerrated as hell.
In 2000 th russia was lesser dependent from import than in 2020 th.
" economy growth " just cos commodities prices grew... there all " good economy ".
More than this, even poor ruSSia in 1994 th was more independent than they are now.
At lest didn't had imported nails, screws and bulldozers, socks and spoons ( it isn' joke ), cables etc from China!

I think the war was unnecessary and dumb, but I think everyone is working with incomplete information right now. I think we'll find out things that were going on in the lead up to this only decades from now.

Russia, who I do not support, has the greatest dearest leader the world has ever seen full stop, period.

read an article sating Putin refereed to it as a war multiple times for the first time in an interview

I can't wait for the successful rebuild of the country when this is all over. I'm sure money will pour in like it is now with little fraud.
