The "accounting error" came from overvaluing the cost of US gear, there is no money transfer.

So you want to talk about Cuba and compare Russia to the US?

In Cuba the US financed rebels to oppose Fidel. This is just like how the Russians have financed rebels in Ukraine, so equal footing. What the US didn't do is directly invade Cuba to annex Cuba. Russia has directly invade another country, clearly showing that NATO was correct to worry about what Russia would do if they did not band together.

Now if you want to ask if the US was right for all the actions they took against countries that wanted to have a socialist or communist governmen, particularly in south America. Then the answer is no, i think the US used its power to cripple many countriesin the name of capitalism. The impacts are still felt in those countries.

Guess who is wrong in this war? Russia invaded a country that was completely independent. They are responsible for every single death in this conflict. The west is taking the correct stance in helping Ukraine defend themselves. The west has a major interest in ensuring that Russia doesnt succeed in taking land by force, and ensure that their abusive government doesnt expand.

Ukraine currently is using just ~15% of forces awailable for them and all this still does looks like probing attacks nothing more.

Russia too doesn't use all forces awailable for them.
They are keeping pretty fresh tank forces with ~1000 tanks ( T-90, T-80 and upgraded T-72 ) and approx 400 tanks T-54/ T-55.
These they didn't had yet used ....

Part of awailable manpower is used to build fortificiations, dig trenches and install minefields.

Man you are lacking logic on this subject. Ukraine is a sovereign nation, they can do whatever the fuck they want. Russia invaded because they wanted closer ties with the EU/Europe and not Russia. Had nothing to do with NATO, that's just Kremlin propaganda. Hell, this invasion was a good example why you should be in NATO. Russia is legit the best salesman for NATO it is hilarious. I guess that stuff with fortifications too is one from tools used by Putin to lower unemployment ....
1. To transport construction materials and technique : it requires human resources.
2. Companies are able to sell bags for sand, cement, reinforced concrete panels, calbes, wood etc.
This too indirectly creates jobs...
3. To install fortifications far from frontline also civilian contractors might be hired and they ofc are hiring workforce.

BTW, guess from where laugh about shovels started?
Military ofc does have shovels and a lot of them. Always had.

However to boost up manual trenches digging productivity Putin also had ordered to deliver to donbas& luhansk shovels models used in construction industry and agriculture...
Additionally also different size excavators and bulldozers are used since january 2023 th and most likely russia will deliver next batches with them.

Putin and his comrades and friends like Medvedev, Patrushev, Shoigu, Lavrov, Zaharova, Gerasimov and Surovikin, Peskov and others....
Ofc will not agree to pull back .....so they are using everything to keep captured areas and to grab next pieces of land.
